Players Who Impressed At ABC Prep’s Preview Tip-Off!

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Albuquerque Basketball Club held a special event on Saturday Night, September 24th at the ABC facility. It was the ABC Prep's Preview Tip-Off to kick start the upcoming season. Their was multiple scrimmages that took place along with a Slam Dunk Contest and a Three-Point Contest. It was a great event hosted by ABC Team President; Brandon Mason. As always, the moment [player_tooltip player_id='1076701' first='Judah' last='Casaus'] hit the floor, he was immediately locked in the zone. In his first action on the court, he won the three-point contest with his amazing shooting from behind the arc. When I first covered Judah as an eighth grader four years ago, he was known for his slashing ability and has turned into a legit three point shooter all these years later which has made his offensive game more dangerous. Once his scrimmage session started, he looked like the best player on the floor. What I enjoyed the most about Judah tonight was his effort on the defensive end. You can't teach certain things on the basketball court. What separates Judah from other great players is his will to be great on defense and giving extra effort on that side of the floor. There was a stretch where he hit four consecutive three-pointers in a row and his teammates were looking to get him the ball. He did a good job moving without the ball and staying ready for "Catch and Shoot" opportunities. He shot the ball really well in the three-point contest and made it too the semifinals round before teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1076701' first='Judah' last='Casaus'] won the competition. During the scrimmage, Gideon was all over the floor with his play-making, defense and scoring from long range in the corners. All in all, I was impressed with the 6'10 big man. He showcased that he knew how to use his size by making sure to use his height and strength advantage over the opposition. Throughout the night, we saw some explosive dunks and swats from the big man.
