Brayden Boe Brayden Boe 6'5" | CG Mountainside | 2025 State #254 Nation OR (2025 Mountainside)
Frankly put, Boe did anything on the court that he wanted to. The Mountainside guard hit open threes, made pull-up jumpers, scored off the dribble and finished around the rim, and posted up to either finish strong or nail step-back jumpers. Boe didn’t hog the ball either as he not only scored within the framework of the game but he also flashed some of his elite passing skills.
Gray Thompson Gray Thompson 6'6" | SF Central Catholic | 2023 State OR (2023 Central Catholic)
Thompson has really developed as an inside-outside threat and that was on display at the Beaverton Hoop YMCA. He got physical underneath to get scores both on plays he created himself or off of offensive boards, but also worked from the perimeter and hit a number of open threes. Because of his 6-foot-7 size and skills he was a very tough matchup to deal with for defenses.
Grant Olsen Grant Olsen 6'5" | SF Hermiston | 2024 State OR (2024 Hermiston)
One of the finds of the day for us was Olsen, who is not only hidden from mainstream view because he’s from Eastern Oregon, but also because Hermiston plays in the Washington state assocation (WIAA) as opposed to Oregon. He was outstanding scoring around the basket, finishing with either hand with equal ability utilizing his 6-foot-5 size and length to maneauver around opponents. Olsen proved he could shoot from the perimeter, hitting shots with range.
Kyle Counts Kyle Counts 6'7" | PF Wilsonville | 2024 State OR (2024 Wilsonville)
We really liked what we saw out of Counts. He was fundamentally sound with his post moves when he got the ball down low and seemed to be just as skilled with the basketball facing the basket, showing that he had range out past the three-point line. He ran the floor very well and often beat his man down the court to streak in for easy layups.
Miguel Taylor Miguel Taylor 6'6" | CG Summit | 2024 State ID (2024 Summit)
Taylor is long and lanky at 6-foot-7 and while he’s often played the post in high school, he’s more of a wing/forward at the next level. He was very aggressive getting to the rim and finishing through contact but also faced the basket to hit jumpers or create off of the dribble.
Dylan Douangphrachanh Dylan Douangphrachanh 6'3" | SG Benson | 2024 State OR (2024 Benson)
Douangphrachanh’s reputation as a shooter is well deserved but it wasn’t quite clicking for him on Sunday. So give him credit, he adjusted and started taking the ball to the basket. This really paid off by the third game of the day where the buckets started piling up as he drove to the hoop both in the halfcourt and full court settings, often taking some hits in the process.
Robin Benipal (2025 Khalsa Secondary School-BC)
One of the top out-of-state (internationally actually) participants, Benipal held his own often times going up against older players. Long and lanky, he was aggressive off the dribble for some baskets but often faced the basket and showed off a nice shooting stroke out to three-point range. An unselfish player, he also looked to set up teammates for scores.
