Six of the top shooting guards in Wisconsin's 2023 class...

[player_tooltip player_id='953945' first='Mac' last='Wrecke'] -- Arrowhead

Currently ranked as a top five prospect in Wisconsin's 2023 class, Wrecke holds the spot as the top senior shooting guard. I really like what Wrecke brings to the table on the offensive end of the court. The SG has many different ways to score the ball. He is a really good finisher at the rim, capable of knocking down mid range shots, and rapidly improving three-point shooter. Already holding a handful of Division One scholarship offers, I wouldn't be surprised if many college programs attempt to jump on Wrecke late.

[player_tooltip player_id='1289040' first='Marcus' last='Hall'] -- DC Everest

I have had multiple people rave to me about just how good Hall is. And after watching him play recently, I can confirm that Hall is in fact the real deal. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is real mismatch problem. If a smaller defender attempts to guard Hall, he has no problem using his size and scoring in the paint. But if a bigger defender guards him, Hall is able to use his skill to score on the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='981201' first='Levi' last='Birkholz'] -- Lakeside Lutheran

Because he played for a top team on the Prep Hoops Circuit for the past handful of years, Birkholz is a prospect that I have watched a ton. This past spring/summer, the Lakeside Lutheran star earned his spot as one of the best prospects in Wisconsin's 2023 class. It is almost impossible to find something that the SG doesn't excel at on the court. He is a great athlete who is very fun to watch in transition. He is also a very good slasher and defender. I expect big things from Birkholz at the college level.

[player_tooltip player_id='953956' first='Luther' last='Smith'] -- Sussex Hamilton

Smith is one of the best pure shooters that Wisconsin has to offer. The Sussex Hamilton standout is able to consistently make difficult shots from beyond the arc, which is a skill that many prospects don't possess. If opposing defenders don't close out hard when Smith throws up a shot, it almost always goes in. Smith isn't just a three-point specialist, though. The SG is also a good finisher around the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='981000' first='Riley' last='Brooks'] -- Ripon

On the offensive end of the court, Brooks is very fun to watch. The shooting guard possesses all of the skills necessary to dominate on offense. The Ripon star is a knockdown shooter whose shooting ability will keep opposing coaches up at night. I think that Brooks is going to have a huge senior season, and if he continues to improve, coaches will be all over him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1043749' first='Emmett' last='Lawton'] -- Notre Dame Academy

Lawton was one of my favorite prospects to watch this past AAU season. Leading his Team 1848 squad to a championship in the Hard Work Region, Lawton was incredible. The shooting guard is a outstanding shooter and overall scorer. He can knock down shots from three or in the mid range. While Lawton certainly has a lot of skill, the thing that impressed me the most was his competitive spirit. This is a prospect that really, really wants to win.
