Jake Bevacqua Jake Bevacqua 5'10" | PG The Meadows School | 2023 State NV 5’10 PG Meadows 2023 (#15PHN 2023) – State champ, point guard, knockdown shooter. Bevacqua displayed all these traits during his junior season and is on the hunt for back-to-back titles. His tangible accolades are one thing, but his game also has some flare and showmanship to it. Make sure you check this kid out this season.
Malachi Richardson Malachi Richardson 6'5" | PF Losee | 2024 State NV 6’4 PF Somerset Losee 2024 (#32PHN 2024) (featured image) – Richardson will be the anchor of a good Losee team. I expect his scoring to increase, but he is already one of the top shot blockers in the state. The skillful lefty should be ready to put up some big numbers this season, especially considering he will be playing for coach Darius Banks, who has a history of developing players.
Tru Coleman Tru Coleman 5'9" | PG Democracy Prep | 2023 State NV 5’10 PG Democracy Prep 2024 (#35PHN 2024) – Could be Tru Washington’s world this season. The two-way PG is the head of a very good Democracy Prep team, primed for a dominant 2A season. Coleman returns as the Divisions scoring and Steals leader. If Coleman dominates on the floor the way Democracy Prep plans to dominate the season, then the 2A star could be in for a big year.
Andre Cade Andre Cade 6'1" | SG Slam | 2024 State NV 6’2 SF SLAM 2024 (#36PHN 2024) – Cade is an athletic forward ready for a big year. He averaged over 15 per game last season, however, his best skills may be his rebounding and defense. He is a tenacious glass cleaner with the ability to defend every position at the 3A level. Improved offensive skills, along with a strong team season should put him on the radar.
Dominic Williams Dominic Williams 6'5" | SF Reed | 2024 State NV 6’4 SF Reed 2024 (#10PHN 2024) – Williams had a huge sophomore season, and may be prepared to do more. He has some faceup game, but his bread and butter is his ability to score down low. Williams is one of the best low post bucket getters in the state and could be an easy bet for a nightly double-double.
Gaston Zumaya Gaston Zumaya 5'11" | CG Rosemary Anderson Prep | 2025 OR 6’0 CG Green Valley 2025 (#34PHN 2025) – Zumaya had a sensational freshman season, and may be poised for more. He scores the ball effortlessly and flashed some nice playmaking skills when I saw him during the summer. The bucket-getter should get more time with the ball in his hand this year.
