The summer is over and as we head into fall leagues in preparation for the start of the season in a few months, the Class of 2023 rankings have been updated and released. Here's a quick look at some guys currently ranked #50 or higher that are operating under the radar but have plenty of potential to move up in the rankings this season.

55 - [player_tooltip player_id='1382409' first='CJ' last='Borin'], Nelson

The well-built, 6-foot-4 Borin is a tough inside-outside threat. The Nelson senior is hard to handle down low but is also capable of stepping out to hit jumpers or create off the dribble. He's also an outstanding passer for his position and makes great decision in both the half and full court settings. There's no question he will be a key cog for Nelson this year.

56 - [player_tooltip player_id='1085781' first='Jeremiah' last='Stigler'], Jefferson

Stigler was often overlooked last year because the Demos were in rebuilding mode. Nevertheless, the 6-foot-1 combo guard was a tremendous scorer at all levels, whether it was knocking down threes with his lefty stroke or taking it strong to the hole and finishing over defenders. He should be a guy coach Pat Strickland will look to for points this season.

59 - [player_tooltip player_id='1481908' first='Jace' last='Aguilar'], Stayton

Small school players sometimes operate in relative silence, but Aguilar proved this off-season he can play with the big boys. The strong 6-foot lead guard, who played at 2A Jefferson last year, doesn't back down from anyone on both ends of the floor, whether it was club ball with Oregon Tripl3 Inpact or at any of the elite camps he attended. Aguilar can knock down threes or power past opponents and is very effective in transition.

80 - [player_tooltip player_id='1495714' first='Izzy' last='Golden'], Ashland

Ashland may be one of the biggest teams in the state - at any classification - but how high the Grizzlies ascend will depend on their guard play and Golden is rock solid. The 6-foot point guard runs the offense well and is especially smooth on the break. He has a smooth jumper from beyond the arc to open up opposing defenses as well.

95 - [player_tooltip player_id='1455146' first='Henry' last='Smith'], Jesuit

Smith played JV last year but should immediately move into a key rotation role at Jesuit as a senior. The 6-foot-2 combo guard specializes in hitting the corner three but the lefty can also create a bit off the dribble and is willing to do some of the dirty work like crashing the offensive glass. He will prove to excel in the Crusaders motion offense.
