Buchtel | 2023
State
OH
, 6’1 PG Buchtel 2023: Thurmon is a flat-out scorer as the lefty can put the ball in the hoop in a variety of ways. Thurmon had a huge weekend at Midwest Live playing for Buchtel as he bounced around a couple grassroots programs this spring and summer. Thurmon shoots a clean ball and has really improved his right hand. A couple years ago Thurmon would almost never put the ball in his right hand for multiple dribbles at a time and now he’s more than capable of making you pay going that direction. Thurmon recently picked up an offer IPFW and I’d expect his recruitment to heavily feature low to mid major programs. Buchtel has the potential to be one of the top teams in the state next season and Thurmon will be looked to be their leading scorer and table setter.

Wadsworth | 2023
State

, 6’0 PG Wadsworth 2023: Callaghan blew up this spring and summer, gaining 15 offers and recently cutting his list to just five schools. The final schools are Akron, Wright State, Hillsdale, Nova Southeastern and Indiana Wesleyan. Callaghan finally got Division I interest after also standing out at Midwest live with his high school team. Callaghan plays with excellent pace and is a very impressive shot-maker. Callaghan’s intangibles are also off the charts in terms of character, leadership and work ethic. It was no surprise that so many schools wanted him to be their point guard. It’ll be interesting to see who eventually lands Callaghan as he was highly sought after all across the midwest.

, 6’3 PG Dublin Jerome 2023: Nutter got offered by Marshall after shining at their team camp and for Nova Village during the first July live period down in Atlanta, Georgia. Nutter is a bigger point guard who is one of the best passers in the state but turned up the scoring volume without star

who was hurt during the July live periods. Nutter is going to need to continue to improve his 3-point shot as teams right now typically go under the screen without being too worried about Nutter hitting a deep shot off the bounce. If Nutter can reliably knock down the 3-pointer, the rest of his skills will be even tougher to stop when you combine his size, strength, vision, patience and passing ability. Dublin Jerome has district title aspirations after falling short in the district title game in a classic against Westerville South last season. Nutter and a strong group of seniors want to push the program to new heights in 2022-23 and they have the talent to do so.
Kyler D’Augustino Kyler D’Augustino 6'1" | CG Albany Alexander | 2023 State OH , 6’1 CG Albany Alexander 2023: The top prospect in southeast Ohio’s 2023 class, D’Augustino shined on the Adidas Gold circuit with the Mid Ohio Pumas this spring and summer. Consistently scoring over 20 points multiple times in a weekend. D’Augustino is a tough competitor who never stops attacking the basket and looking to score. It was also nice to see him with more talent than his high school team offers him, allowing him to show more passing skills and not take as much of the scoring load for himself. D’Augustino has picked up a handful of Division II offers with low to mid major interest as well.

, 6’3 SG Ponitz 2023: Anderson recently committed to Wright State and shortly after that shot the cover off the basketball at Peach Jam. Anderson was one of the few bright spots for an All Ohio Red team that struggled down in North Augusta against the best that the EYBL has to offer. Anderson found a niche as a shooting specialist that comes off the bench and was improved defensively with a more specialized role with less minutes. I was impressed with how Anderson usually made an impact off the bench, one of the hardest things for a prospect to do on the top circuits.
