Eastern Kentucky: Uncommitted 2023’s Part 1

<!-- wp:heading {"level":5} --> <h5>Regions of Eastern Kentucky were devastated by one of the worst floods in Kentucky history late last month. People from all over the country have rallied behind those affected and has shined light at the perseverance these communities have as they look to rebuild what was lost. As the high school basketball season is the last thing on most peoples minds in these areas, we would like to highlight some uncommitted 2024's from Eastern Kentucky that are poised for a big final year.</h5> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1221425' first='Chaz' last='Brown'] (2024) | 6-1 SG | Shelby Valley</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brown looks to help lead Shelby Valley back to the state tournament since they last appeared in 2011. He is a natural floor general that gets teammates involved. After averaging 10 ppg and shooting 44% from 3pt last season, look for Brown to take on a much bigger scoring role which he is more than capable of. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Dylan Knight</strong> (2024) | 6-4 F | Perry County Central</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Knight is one of the more versatile players in the state with his combination of size and athleticism. He has proven he can step out to 3pt range but is great at being aggressive attacking the rim. Being one of the leaders for Perry County this season, they will rely heavily on him as they look to repeat as region champs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1215546' first='Christian' last='Collins'] (2024) | 6-8 PF | Breathitt County</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Collins is a fluid athlete who looks to improve on what was an impressive junior season averaging 14 ppg and 7 rpg. Has good touch around the rim and great in transition. Very good rebounder using his quickness and length. Has the tools to continue to expand his game on the perimeter. As he continues to develop, he is one of the more unique prospects in the state.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kolby Stewart</strong> (2024) | 6-7 C | Jenkins </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stewart showed great development under new head coach Lee last season averaging 6 ppg, 8 rpg and recording a triple double. He is most comfortable around the rim using his size and quick leaping ability to alter shots and create easy baskets. As he looks to become more comfortable in the post, look for him to have a much improved senior year and help Jenkins make noise in the 15th region.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
