Quinn Swanson Quinn Swanson 6’2″ | SG Mount Vernon | 2024 State WA -Mount Vernon HS, 2024
I mentioned Quinn in the city rankings for the top 10 players in Whatcom and Skagit counties for his overall play on the court. One thing Swanson does outstanding on the court that sets him apart is his shooting. I can tell Quinn really focuses on the mechanics of his shot. His feet are always set, and he’s able to set them quickly. His form is excellent and he has a great flick of the wrist. He’s deadly from deep and defenders should be well aware this year.
Ashton Engelhart Ashton Engelhart 6’1″ | SG Squalicum | 2023 WA -Squalicum HS, 2023
Ashton is a player that’s under the radar currently. With more playing time coming his way this year, he’s destined for a big senior year. He has a fast release and is able to launch it from DEEP. Late last season when getting minutes, he came up very big for the Storm with a couple games with 5+ three pointers made. He’s able to sink the deep shot off the dribble or off the catch effectively. People will start to learn his name as the season begins.

Braden Thomas -Anacortes HS, 2023
Braden is the perfect glue guy in my eyes. He’s a glue guy who can do it all, but also can do one thing (plus more) extremely well. That one thing that stands out to me is his three point shot. He’s always keeping his elbow in, allowing for him to take accurate shots each time. His quick flick of the wrist helps him release the ball quickly while the defender closes out. If the defenders sag, he’s not afraid to pull the shot and sink it in their face. Anacortes plays extremely well as a team, allowing for Braden and other players to excel at different things on the court and that is what makes them scary.
Grey Garrison Grey Garrison 6’5″ | PF Sehome | 2023 State WA -Sehome HS, 2023
I also mentioned Grey in the article with the top 10 players from Whatcom and Skagit counties. I added him to that list due to growth I’ve seen in other areas of his game. One thing I’ve known that Grey excels at is shooting. With his size and long arms, he’s always been able to shoot the ball well from deep. His size helps him rise above defenders for the shot, where his long arms also help him. He has a natural shot that is one fluid motion and one of my favorites to watch.
Carson Lehnert Carson Lehnert 6’3″ | SG Blaine | 2023 State WA -Blaine HS, 2023
Carson hasn’t been able to show people in the state his abilities so far this summer due to an injury. Carson also has great size & a great shooting stroke. He’s able to spot up from anywhere beyond the three point line and you can count on him to sink it. If he’s wide open, that’s just like him taking a layup. He has the ability to set his feet quick, which of course is important for great shooters to have. He has grown a little bit since last year and is ready to show off his improved shot & game during his senior season next year.
