SubscribeThere are some talented kids coming up on the Eastside of King County. We’re only looking at the top five kids in the class but the list goes much deeper than these five players. Please go check out the kids in the Honorable Mention too. There are going to be a lot of 2025s to keep an eye on in the Eastside next season.
No. 1 | The biggest and probably most experienced at the varsity level, Henton is an intriguing prospect because of his athleticism and ability to shoot from distance. He already held down a big role for Interlake last season and should continue to get valuable development with big minutes for the Saints who graduated nine of twelve varsity players.
No. 2 | Lanier stands out for his ability to break down defenders, make tough shots, and give you a few “wow” plays. He can hit from outside but he’s most effective getting inside and drawing defenders’ attention. He had a fantastic spring and summer but will have plenty of competition for minutes at Eastside Catholic next season.
No. 3 | Elston is a true point guard who keeps the ball on a string and moves the ball with awareness and intention. He’s a really heady player that brings grit to the point guard spot and won’t shy away from a challenge on defense either. Elston’s got quick feet, quick hands, and brings a constant presence on both sides of the ball.
No. 4 | Tita teams up with fellow 2025 guard, Mason St. Louis, to give Kentwood an up-and-coming backcourt combo. Tita is a physical guard that slashes to the hoop and finishes under control. He knows how to use the pump fake and use the defender’s aggression against them. Tita could get significant minutes this coming season for the Conquerors and will be a name to watch in the 4A NPSL.
No. 5 | Huber plays a little under the radar at Bellevue Christian, but the young guard proved last year he has the skill to play now. He can hit it from outside and has a sound, consistent shot that stays on balance with feet set on the catch. He’s a calm player too, that will hit the defender with a good pump on the arc, dribble in and drill the pull-up mid-range shot. Huber’s confidence should only grow as he gets more time on the court and he’ll help the Vikings make a push at the 1A level.
