Continue ReadingLast season he was a role player that provided a nice offensive spark for the team but this year he will be called on to be one of the leaders off the team on a nightly basis. He has a natural gift for scoring the ball, despite being smaller in height, he can score the ball in bunches and will have a chance to be a top 5-10 scorer in the city.
Highlights
After transferring into the area last season, he made his mark for his team and put together quite a few impressive performances which included a 40 Point Game against Freedom Christian. The next step for him will be to bring the same consistent effort and energy on a nightly basis on both ends of the floor and embrace his role as a leader. He’s clearly a player that has D1 potential, outstanding athletic ability and scoring ability but his motor will be the key for him taking it to the next level.
He’s a new addition to the area rankings as he recently transferred in from Blair Academy to Terry Sanford HS and will provide some much-needed offense to a team that lost one of the best players in the state to graduation. A fundamentally sound player that doesn’t hesitate about getting his shot off and can fill it up in a hurry when he’s hot, he will have a chance to have a big-time season this year.
One of the better perimeter shooters in the area, don’t be surprised to see him have multiple games where he knocks down a high number of shots from three-point land. He’s also making some progress with his ability to make plays off the dribble which will only make him even more intriguing as a prospect.
A dual sport athlete that plays the QB position on the football field, his toughness and leadership translate well to the basketball court. He’s a vocal leader on the court, makes a high impact on both ends of the floor and doesn’t back down from any matchup that he’s faced with.
He will have a chance to be the PG for NLCA this season which gives him the opportunity to prove that he can run the show for a state contender high school squad. Throughout the season last year, he showed some flashes of how good he can potentially be when he’s aggressive and locked in.
