Stevie Kuhnle Jr
#1 — Stevie catapulted his name into the list of the top shooters in his class and my top one from the Snohomish County area with an impactful summer letting it fly from 3. Fundamentally sound mechanics and tireless off ball movement make him a difficult cover for defenders. When he finds himself open off a screen or available on the wing, he wastes no time releasing the ball quickly and his form is consistently the same. Pure shooting is not an easy trait to come by, and Kuhnle Jr. has put in the work and is a prime example of it.
#2 — One of the more polished all around shooters north of Seattle, Luke Blachly Luke Blachly 6’4″ | SF Archbishop Murphy | 2023 State WA comes in at No. 2. At 6-foot-4, he has the length as a guard to get his shot off over defenders from multiple spots on the floor. Stand-stills from the elbow or the top of the key, paired with an excellent stroke from the wing 3 make a nice scoring package. After a standout summer, he’ll have a big role as one of the Wildcat’s leaders in the coming season.
Highlights
#3 — Savovic has a solid combo guard skill set which opens up his shooting ability from deep. When he’s running hot, he’s the type of player who can go out and get you 2-3 triples in succession in any given game and he’ll take smart shots when he’s on the perimeter. His 3 ball has good arc to it and he can get it off against taller guards or blow by and finish at the rim. The 1st-Team All-Wesco pick proved to be a great fit within Everett’s loaded backcourt last season and is primed for another standout year.
Drew Jensen
Drew Jensen
#4 — Drew Jensen is a skilled big guard who can bully in the paint and earn trips to the line or step out beyond the 3-point line and light it up. He played extremely well as a volume shooter for North Creek last season. He excelled at the stripe, converting over 90% of his attempts on the year. He has range and touch on his jumper and the bounces seem to go his way when he shoots it. The incoming senior has garnered some D-3 interest from around the state as well.
#5 — As a rhythm shooter and playmaker, Najera really came on after attending a few showcases and having a productive summer run with Marysville-Pilchuck. He’s athletic, has an exciting game and his pull-up 3 is one of his main tools. He can make reads with the ball, finish with either hand, and is true spot up shooter off the ball. With a smooth j already, he’ll have a golden opportunity for a big breakout 22′-23′ year as a junior. After making the move to Shorecrest for the upcomming season, he’ll pair up with 1st-Team All-League guard Parker Baumann Parker Baumann 6’5″ | CG Shorecrest | 2023 State WA (23′) which should allow him a lot of open looks.
Honorable MentionsMaddox Preder (Lake Stevens), Arion Palacol Arion Palacol 5’11” | PG Marysville Getchell | 2025 State WA (Marysville-Getchell), Blaine Granberg Blaine Granberg 6’3″ | CG Burlington-Edison | 2023 State WA (Burlington-Edison).
