The 2023 class of guards is as good and as deep as I can recall in recent memory. With most of the talent concentrated in Metro Atlanta, it wasn't easy to decipher who the best guards were in a specific order. 2024 has some high ceiling guys and 2025 will enter the discussion shortly, but here's a look at the who's who of guards in Metro Atlanta.

His size at the guard position coupled with his two-way impact separate him just enough from the field. Castle is a nightmare to keep in front. He excels at attacking the rim and drawing fouls, routinely attempting double digit free throws. Stephon's deep range extends defenses out, leading to more downhill opportunities. At 6-foot-6, he can defend multiple spots on the floor, giving him major value at the next level.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"align":"","mode":"preview"} /-->

He poured in 27 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals in the championship game and had 22 points in the Final Four vs. Newton, netting 10 in the fourth quarter. He's an explosive playmaker with elite court vision. Isaiah thrives in the open floor, tossing lobs as well as anyone. Collier loves to slash to the basket for his points and is improving as a jump shooter. Isaiah extends his tenacity to the defensive side of the ball using quick hands to turnover opponents.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1042849"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"u003cstrongu003eNo. 4 - u003c/strongu003eThe biggest stock riser on the list is Virginia Tech-commit [player_tooltip player_id='1042849' first='Brandon' last='Rechsteiner'], who has worked his way up to being ranked No. 7 in Georgia's 2023 class. Rechsteiner is an elite shooter, that creates off the bounce. He has incredible strength which gives him breathtaking three-point range. Brandon may have the best handle in the state, keeping the ball on a string as he manipulates defenses. Hard work has gotten Rechsteiner to where he is today – one of the best point guards in the southeast.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["598781"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"u003cstrongu003eNo. 5 - u003c/strongu003eMercer landed a plug-and-play guard that will flourish in Macon. Thomas has long been regarded as one of the best guards in Georgia. He's a very good athlete that absorbs contact when finishing at the rim. David gets good lift on his jump shot.
