Lloyd Jones III 2025 6’4 Hitchcock High School
Lloyd is an athletic defender who is a reliable rim defender and a consistent finisher at the rim. He offered a consistent help defender in the paint who rejected shots and forced his opponents to think twice or pass out off shots at the rim. He showed off his quick feet and defended guards on the perimeter. He does not bite on pump fakes, and can reject jumpers on the perimeter as well. His length really made his opponents uncomfortable. He was great at using his length to coral rebounds and get the ball at a high point.
His ability to finish in the lane forced teams to bring a second defender. He always seemed to be in the right spot at the right time to finish easy shots or clean up looks at the rim. He absorbs contact at the rim and showed an ability to finish through it. I was impressed with his hands, he showed an ability to seemingly catch any pass. He got easy looks in transition by simply staying in his lane and waiting for the defense to make a mistake. I would like to see him work on his ability to create with a live dribble and improving his handle more as a whole.
Jackson Shockley 2025 6’4 Denton Guyer High School (AYG Lakers 2025)
Jackson is a high level wing with great size who knows how to fight on the interior and beat up his opponents down low, while also using his handle to create separation as he gets downhill. The dual sport athlete is a smart quarterback for his football team as well, which is not surprising when you watch him play and lead his team through his on court actions. I was very impressed at the patience and leadership he displayed on the defensive end of the court, anchoring his team’s defense while also calling out assignments to his teammates on the perimeter. He is a smart defender who times up his blocks well, and uses his length to high point rebounds and blocks. He knows how to use his size to dominant on the interior, but is a capable and dynamic athlete in the full court as well. I loved watching him operate out of the high post and out of the triple threat, where he used jab steps to create separation for himself. It was really fun watching him lead his team in every aspect of the game, and shows what kind of natural leadership qualities this young man has in him already.
Ross St. Aime 2025 6’5 Clear Brook High School (Houston Kings Elite 2025)
Ross is a high level wing with all of the tools to play outside in, or inside out depending on the matchup and what his team needs. He is a lanky prospect with great length and ability to rebound the ball and dominate on the glass. He is great at using his length to routinely score over the top of his opponents in the paint. He routinely scored with his back to the basket and works hard to seal his opponents off in the paint. He showed an ability to get downhill with a live dribble as well, however I would like to see him get more aggressive off the bounce. He has all the tools to easily score over anyone from the midrange and in the paint. I would like to see him develop more spin moves and ability to quickly create space in the paint, both off the bounce and with his back to the basket.
Jacory Singh 2025 6’2 Denton High School (DC Kings Denton 2025)
Jacoru attacks the rim hard off the bounce, and is good at using his length to score over the top of smaller opponents that are forced to guard him on the perimeter. He is aware of his size on the offensive end of the floor and routinely uses it to dominate in the paint. He is an aware and creative passer out of the mid post, and can explode out of the triple threat to the rim or find his teammates flashing to the basket or spotting up beyond the arc on the weak side of the defense. I would like to see him work on pulling up from beyond the arc and the midrange off the dribble. He is a dynamic weapon when he gets a full head of steam and gets into the paint, and the floor will open up even more for him as he continues to develop from beyond the arc and threaten the defense from even further.
Shawn Smith 2025 6’3 Denison High School (Sparks Basketball Team 2025)
Shawn is an explosive athlete who has all of the athletic tools to become a valuable and dynamic prospect. He is great at out leaping his opponents for rebounds, blocking shots in the paint and on the perimeter, as well as finishing at the rim. His ability to consistently grab rebounds off the glass by sealing his opponent on the glass and skying for rebounds. He is quick with a live dribble and uses his foot speed and athleticism to blow by his defender and get into the paint. He routinely got his defender off balance with his handle and got into the paint and found his big men with smart dump off passes. I would like to see him work on his consistency to shoot from the outside, as well as scoring off the dribble. He can easily develop into a high level prospect, especially as he continues to develop his ability to see the floor and read the game.
