Javori Washington Javori Washington SG Cypress Falls | 2025 TX 2025 6’1 Cypress Falls High School, TX (1 Dream 1 Team Sports 2025)
Javori is an aggressive guard who can lock up his defender and finish through the chest of any opponent in the paint. He is elite at turning defense into offense and finishing on the fast break. In transition, he is a force to be reckoned with, he attacks straight down the floor and forces the defense to react. He is good at waiting for just the right moment to find his teammates wide open cutting to the basket after drawing the attention of their defender. His relentlessness with a live dribble and constant penetration allows him to live in the paint, and create countless opportunities for his teammates. I was very impressed with his ability to not only hunt for his own shot but create layups from his dump off passes after drawing a second defender, or an accurate pass out to his shooters. In the half court, he is a real weapon out of the pick and roll through his ability to tightly turn the corner and forcing the second defender to make a decision. He calmly makes the right reads time and time again to get his teammates open looks.
Jimmell McFalls 2025 6’1 Wichita Falls Hirschi High School
Jamal is an efficient combo guard who thrives using his movement off the ball. He is truly the point guard of the future at Hirschi as he displayed real court vision and a calmness with the basketball. He was great at reading the defense and punishing them as they collapse on him. It is clear he has put time in the film room almost as much as he has on the court. He is always willing to make the extra pass and hunt for the best shot possible. He was great at playing off the ball and letting his senior point guard run the show. He was good at using his movement to put pressure on the defense. His constant motion and ability to knock down shots on the perimeter allowed his lead point guard to get down hill and get to the rim.
On defense he was great at using his length to harass his opponents and forcing them into tough looks. He harassed some high level wings into some tough fade aways by his ability to cut off their angles to the rim and forcing them to pick up their dribble. He is aware and wants to turn defense into offense every chance he can get. He was great at stealing passes in the passing lanes and reading the opponents eyes when they attempted to pick off Hirschi in the full court. I was very impressed by his alertness and heads up play on both ends of the floor. He has a really nice feel for the game and I am interested to see how he develops.
Braylen Turner 2025 Timberview High School, TX (1NE Percent)
Braylen is a dynamic guard who is not afraid to attack the basket and draw contact, he subsequently lived at the free throw line through his aggression and ability to put pressure on the defense in the paint. I loved his awareness with a live dribble, and how he can get past his defender on the perimeter. He constantly put pressure on the defense by attacking the basket, yet also knocking down shots from beyond the arc. He is a consistent shooter with a high release point and good mechanics whenever he gets a chance to set his feet. Turner looks like he will soon be handed the keys of a high level Timberview team who made it to the Texas 5A State Title Game this year, so keep your eyes on him as he continues to develop as a playmaker!
Macaulin Rollison 2025 5’10 Sulphur Springs High School, TX (Dream Leaders Elite 2025)
Macaulin is a sniper from the three point line and is a real threat to score off the bounce from all three levels of the floor at any given moment. He showed an ability to stretch the floor and force the defense to the coveted fourth level that is becoming more and more deadly in today’s game. He is great at using his handle to create space and enough separation to quickly get his shot off. I was very impressed at his ability to score off the dribble in bunches, his consistent shot making brought his team back into a tight game during the first night of the tournament. He is not just a shooter however, he is crafty in the lane and showed an ability to evade contact and hang in the air to finish at the rim. He showed off his shooting touch in the paint and midrange with soft floaters over bigger competition. I was very impressed with his relentlessness in attacking the basket, it truly opened up his shooting from beyond the arc and allowed him to hurt the defense in a plethora of ways.
