The 2023 rankings are out.

We dive into the positional rankings. We first look at the point guards for the senior class.

Here are the top-8 PG's in the 2023 class:

[player_tooltip player_id='814039' first='Mark' last='Brown Jr'] Bella Vista Prep (Pictured)

A powerfully built lead guard can score it from all three levels. He uses his strong upper body and tight handle to score through contact. He has a nice pull-up from mid-range and can catch and shoot from the three. He is a physical on-ball defender as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='994130' first='Isaiah' last='Kai'] Campo Verde

One of the top facilitators in the state plays at a good pace. He has consistent pull-up from mid to the three point line. He drives and kicks it, advance passes and sees the court with next level court vision. Putting on 10+ lbs has helped him.

[player_tooltip player_id='996161' first='Lashy' last='Perez'] Apollo

A slick guard found that happy middle of scorer and passer. He changes speeds and has a lot of shift to his handle. He gets passed defenders almost at will and will finish off tough shots with a nice layup package or dime his teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150195' first='Brigg' last='Wolfe'] Mesa Mountain View

A bigger sized lead guard can score it in the paint with his strength and is a wizard off of the pick and roll game. You may see him pulling-up four-five times a game off of the PnR action. He uses his size to defend and he can post up and sees over defenders to find teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='1275428' first='Zander' last='Kamai'] Centennial

One of the steadier performers in the last two months in the local circuits. He transformed his game as a lead guard who has become a real play maker. Advance passes, drive and kicks and dump offs. He still has a sweet lefty stroke from mid to the three point line.

[player_tooltip player_id='814517' first='Cohen' last='J Gonzales'] Mesquite

One of the top scorers in the AIA. He may be smaller then most but it really doesn't affect his game at all. His stamina is off the charts and seems to get better as the game wears on. He has deep range, he rises high on his jumpers and has hard to catch speed on the break.

[player_tooltip player_id='1275429' first='Yarell' last='Greer'] Higley

Another fast end to end defensive point guard. He has incredible toughness and lateral quickness to hound opposing ball handlers. He can pull-up from mid and burst right by and get to the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='814527' first='Leonard' last='Romayor'] Ironwood

Another scoring lead guard who is finding that happy middle. He has become stronger and a little bigger in the last year. His poise and leadership to go along with his shooting makes him the prospect he is.

The 2023 rankings are out.
