[player_tooltip player_id=’1159181’ first=’Trey’Dez’ last=’Green’] 6-8 East Feliciana (LA) Arguably the top tight end recruit in the nation in the class of 2024. Green put in some serious work on the hardwood on Saturday. As you would expect the physical attributes are simply eye opening. Has thick and wide frame. But is very explosive and light on his feet. It’s not all brute strength. Has a soft left handed touch around the basket. More importantly knows who he is. Does not stray far from the basket. That’s not to say he can’t. He just realized he had a distinct size advantage against a good DTO squad out of Michigan. Handles the ball well in space and is a good passer. Finished with a dominating 31 points against DTO Elite.

Warren Marshall IV 6-3 2024 Bloomfield Hills Brother Rice (MI) Marshall plays for a very talented program in the regular season. So it was good to see him in more of featured role with DTO Elite. Scored in a wide variety of ways. Has a skinny frame but showed no fear in knifing to the basket against an imposing LA Broncos frontline (see above) Got to use spots easily on the perimeter due to his length and ball handling ability. Finished with 23 points in the loss to LA Broncos. I could possibly see him having a development curve similar to Brother Rice teammate Jon Blackwell. Blackwell went from solid all around scorer. To full on playmaking threat with Wisconsin commitment in the span of a year. As Brother Rive big three moves on after this year. I could see Marshall’s game and recruitment really take off.

Jacob Tucker 6-4 2024 Fairdale (KY) I have really enjoyed the play of this lefty from Louisville this weekend. Doesn’t pass initial eye test. But when the ball tips you realize quickly this young man can play. Operates well in the mid range. Has a smooth and release on his jump shot. And it’s a real old fashioned jump shot. With excellent elevation and the proper release point. Showed a clutch gene with some big plays down the stretch in a overtime win against a good Breakaway team. Finished with 16 points in that contest. Had a emphatic above the rim finish late in the victory.

Brayden Szamrej 6-1 2024 Hudsonville (MI) While teammate Cameron Regnerus gets a lot of the recruiting attention for West Michigan Future. Szamarej has been providing the offensive production for an undefeated West Michigan Future squad. Had not one but two 27 point performances on the weekend. Is a big and physical point guard with strong penetration game. When the outside shot is falling there is not much defenses can do. As good as he is as a scorer. I love his long term potential as a distributor. He is a point guard all the way. Has advanced court vision and the ability to make quick passes off the dribble. Has been well schooled by regular season head coach Eric Elliott. One of the best to ever do it o the west side of the state. With his play thus spring. Could be in line for a big junior season. Recruiting stock could really take off.

Connor May 6-6 2024 Palatine (IL) A lot to like with the Chicago area wing. Has excellent size and movement off the ball. Elevates well on his jump shot. Has an effortless and efficient release with no wasted motion. Can get shots coming off screens or create his own offense. Is a good ball handler. Even looked capable of playing the point at times.
