6’7 SF Chris Cox Chris Cox 6'7" | SF AZ Compass Prep | 2024 State AZ || Mountain City || 2024 ||
Playing against better competition this year and possibly playing against the midwest and teams out east might have really helped a player like Chris play against different competition. He has looked a lot better in such a short time running with Mountain City. Chris is playing the 4 and 5 at the high school level and he was defending those positions this grassroots season but he is more of a hybrid 4 or maybe a three if his shooting continues to improve, but as of right now he is a solid slashing 4 that continues to develop. He could really surprise a lot of teams with that versatility. Nice next level prospect.
6’0 PG Ace Reiser Ace Reiser 6'0" | PG Alta | 2024 State UT || Utah Prospects Adidas 3SSB || 2024 ||
Ace made a great move running with the Prospects in July because you could see a ot of growth in his game as he was not getting everything and anything he wanted like he was earlier this grassroots season. Ace was able to get to his spots against some top tier competition. He learned what he could and what he can’t do at that high of a level. The platform allowed him to show that he can defend at a high level full-court he also showed that he can get in the lane and create for others. He is a big time shifty guard that will be a big time scorer because he can get loose against average defenders. Stay tuned because his shooting is getting better too.
5’10 PG Jordan Roberts Jordan Roberts 6'0" | PG Dixie | 2024 State UT || Flight || 2024 ||
Jordan is a perfect fit on that Flight team that also has most of his high school teammates on it as he is an ultimate distributor. He has been racking up assist and he is doing it with solid fundamental passing and he is putting it on a string and ready for players to shoot or leading them in the lane to the basket. Jordan will be in the mix for top assist guy in the state the way he is handing out those assist.
6’5 W Owen Mackay Owen Mackay 6'5" | CG Snow Canyon | 2024 State UT || Ignite || 2024 ||
Owen has slowly been stepping up his game in all aspects even though the part of his game that really stands out is his leaping ability. This kid is going to be one of the best leapers in the state regardless of class. His ability to shake loose without the ball has gotten better. He has set a good basketball skill wise foundation that he continues to chip away at. Might take time to develop but he has a high ceiling.
6’2 SG Sam Lind Sam Lind 6'2" | SG Wasatch | 2024 State UT || UBC Elite || 2024 ||
Sam is a player that is starting to get it going. He shoots the ball well and some good size at that position. He’s getting better off the bounce and you can see that his footwork has gotten better as he uses those pivots and jabs to get free or create space to shoot and pass. He could be a solid prospect that could get it going form deep and with that new attack game he is working on he is more of a threat all over the floor now. Stay tuned because Sam has some more growth to go.
