In the basketball world you’re always going to come across some new players from time to time. Today was no exception at all from here in Columbia at the Run That Fade Tourney. Who were some strong First Impressions from here today? Hats off to a great event #RunThatFade and E.P.I.C. Hoops for this weekend in the Midlands.

[player_tooltip player_id="1513796" first="Josiah" last="Pack"] (2023) - Blythewood HS -Team USC Premier 2023

Pack brings a lot of energy to the floor with the way he plays the game. Josiah is extremely active around the basket and looks to stalk the baseline at times. Pack should look to get some really good minutes this season for the Bengals with several players moving on from last year’s senior dominated team.

[player_tooltip player_id="1513797" first="Chrishaud" last="Cromer"] (2023) - Newberry HS - Masked Men (pictured on front)

Cromer was a great surprise today with his play. Chrishaud felt very comfortable shooting the ball from the corners. He dropped 17 points in an opening round loss we took in on Saturday morning. He has really soft hands and does a good job of keeping the ball up high at all times. Chrishaud showed some guard skills at times handling the rock up the floor. Cromer has good length and still must get stronger down the road.

[player_tooltip player_id="1513799" first="Martaz" last="Owens"] (2024) - Dreher HS - Palmetto City Hurricanes

Owens led the charge for the PC Hurricanes with 14 points in opening round loss. Martaz was able to show a nice mid-range game and good activity on the ball. He really understood where to be on the floor at times to make plays. Owens did a good job of rebounding the ball from his position.

[player_tooltip player_id="1513798" first="Ry’Neck" last="Maxwell"] (2024) - AC Flora HS - Team USC Premier 2024

Maxwell really came out firing for his Team USC Premier 2024 team today. Ry’Neck dropped 27 points while connecting on 5 three pointers. Maxwell should be a nice piece to the Falcons roster this season and new Head Coach Ed Scott.
