This past season he put up 13 Points while pulling down 7 Rebounds per contest, using his size and athletic ability to make a nice overall impact. Next season he will also be taking his talents to the CIAA at Livingstone College.
Jack Britt Forward Demetri Patterson has made tremendous strides over the last few years with this season being the best season of his career by far. He’s worked himself into top shape and the results showed on the court as he averaged 16 Points and 10 Rebounds per contest. Playing inside the paint or stepping out to knock down some shots from the perimeter are all attributes you will see from him, and it should help him see a nice amount of success at The University of Mount Olive.
Bishop McGuinness Forward Dawson McAlhany has been a part of teams that have made deep playoffs runs which shows that he understands what it takes to win games. At 6’6 he understands how to use his height and athletic ability to score inside the paint and rebound the ball at a nice rate. Next season he will be headed to Hampden-Sydney which is a D3 program that had a solid season last year and will look to take the next step this upcoming season.
West Carteret Forward Jaxon Ellingsworth accepted an opportunity as a recruited walk-on at ECU but don’t be surprised to see that turn into a scholarship in the next few years. It’s not often that you see a 6’8 Forward that knocks down the trey ball at a high rate but that’s exactly what he brings to the table on a nightly basis.
Mount Tabor Guard Finley Simmons is one of those players that you love to have on your team simply because he’s going to do whatever it takes for his team to win. Whether it’s making the extra pass, knocking down the open shot or making the hustle play that often gets overlooked, he does whatever it takes to help his team.
Cleveland HS Forward Trey Fields will be headed to Davidson CCC next season, and he brings a good amount of size and skill to the team. He can score from various levels, has a nice overall skillset and has the potential to be an outstanding rebounder.
