Ryan Brooks, Mass Swarm, HT 6’6, Position F, Class 2023
Ryan Brooks has been raising his stock this live period. He is a versatile big man, and has a diverse skill set. He is very mobile for his size. He can play in transition, and cuts hard away from the ball. He had a few nice cuts in the tournament leading to a layup. He made a lot of good passes from the low and the high blocks. He also showed his ability to hit set three point shots. He has a soft touch around the rim, and is aggressive on the boards. Ryan has a good skill set, to match his size.
Andrew Alekseyenko Andrew Alekseyenko 6'8" | PF Rivers | 2025 State New E , HT 6’7, Class 2024, Position F
Andrew has a great skill set, for a big men in today’s basketball. A 6’7 forward, who is mobile, has a good inside out game, and the ability to space the floor. He had a standout tournament, and played with high energy all tournament long. He showcased a number of different skills in the tournament. His court vision and passing from the block was good. He was often double teamed in the post, and did a good job finding the open player for a three in corner. He showed his post skills, and ability to play back to the basket. He showed his ability to face up and score at or above the rim, and his ability to stretch the floor and shoot. Andrew has been a bit under the radar, but he is definitely proving he is a college level player.
Dashawn Hall-Johnson, New Haven Heat, Class 2023, HT 6’6, Position F
Dashawan is a very athletic big men. When watching him play, I see his frame is already built like a college player. He has a great inside and out game. He can really score in the post and back someone down, and also stretch the floor and consistently knock down three pointers. Dashawn’s best attribute might be his defense. He is a great shot blocker with great timing. He can guard multiple positions, and switch on the screens without a miss match. He has the length to deflect passes in the lane, and is quick enough to stay with ball handlers.
Henry Bickford Henry Bickford 6'6" | PF Phillips Exeter | 2024 State New E , Middlesex Magic, Class 2023, HT 6’6, Position F
Henry had a standout tournament, and was named player of the game for his performance against All American Valley Basketball Club. He finished the game with a double double. Bickford moves well for his 6’6 size. On defense he plays good help side defense coming from 2 passes away. He has good time on blocking shots, or altering shots. Offensively he is fundamentally skilled in the post. He can use his drop step move, his ball fake up and under, and his turn around jump shot. He can also catch on the perimeter and Jab step rip and finish at or above the rim, shot the three, or mid range jumper. Henry is getting the attention from college coaches.
Alex Mulamba, 401 Phoenix, Class 2025, HT 6’2, position F
The 401 Phoenix had an impressive showing at the Hoopfest. One of their notable players was Forward Alex Mulamba. Alex was recognized as a player of the game during the tournament. Alex is a good two way player. He is a strong built, and still growing. He plays with high energy on both sides of the ball. He was very aggressive on the offensive and defensive rebounding, and made some tough finishes at the rim.
