There’s many players out there in the class who you could argue deserves a spot in the top 25, as the class is overall very talented. In this article I will cover 5 guys who in my opinion, could earn their way into the Top 25.
Gannon Dykstra -Lynden Christian HS
Gannon is one of my favorite underclassman in the NWC conference. He’s an absolute lights out shooter. His catch and shoot game is one of the best in the ‘25 class and his game is more than that. He’s a great facilitator with the basketball, excelling in the pick and roll. He’s learned from one of the best in the state, 2023 G Tyler Sipma Tyler Sipma 6'0" | CG Lynden Christian | 2023 State WA . Dykstra has crazy speed & plays defense every possession with intensity, as does all of his Lynden Christian teammates. Gannon is a name to be on the watch for in the coming years, as his game has already grown over the summer.
Jaeger Fyfe Jaeger Fyfe 6'1" | SG Meridian | 2025 State WA -Meridian HS
Jaeger is another underclassman in the NWC I have been enjoying to watch. Fyfe has great size for a guard and has a lanky build. He controls the pace of the game very well for Meridian. He can step out to hit the deep shot, or create his own shots using his handles and speed. Speaking of his deep shot, he’s got a very, very solid one. He can hit the three from 2/3 feet beyond the line. Due to his size and athleticism, he can finish at the rim around the big men down low. In transition, he fills the lanes very well with his speed and can rise above when getting to the rim. His game is evolving in a very positive way over the course of the summer.
Brandon Douvia- Overlake HS
The simple way to put Brandon’s game: he’s a PHENOMENAL shooter. Douvia can shoot from anywhere beyond the 3 point line, that includes 4/5 feet beyond that line. He has a very fast release so he’s extremely dangerous off the catch as he can just let it rain. Another thing in Brandon’s game is a floater. He can get into the paint using his speed and floats the ball over the taller defenders at the rim. In transition, he knows how to use his body in a positive way to create space for the easy layup. His game is only growing and he will only keep improving. I know his 3 point shot will stand out to a lot of people next season, so much so Douvia might be considered a top deep shooter in the class.
Lucas McClendon Lucas McClendon 6'3" | SG Auburn Mountainview | 2025 State WA -Graham Kapowsin HS
Lucas is very crafty with the ball and has great handling. He keeps the ball under control extremely well, even if his defender is in his face. His court vision stands out to me the most, as he can find his teammates with the smallest of space. Lucas has great speed so he drives right by opponents to get to the hoop with ease. He has a fantastic mid-range & deep shot as well. He’s not afraid to pull up and hit the 3 in transition but he can also speed right by you and get the bucket when attacking the rim. He’s a 2025 player that could easily sneak into our rankings when we update them.
Nash Dunham -Mt Spokane HS
You can tell Nash has a high basketball IQ when watching him play. He understands the game very well and it seems like he is always knows what’s coming next. He has a lot of speed and uses his to his advantage well. The way he can control the ball with his handles is impressive for a 2025. The pick and roll is where he excels in my eyes, he uses the screen effectively to get around his defenders and attack the rim. Dunham can finish at the rim with either hand, and isn’t afraid to go into anyone. He’s a 2025 name to keep an eye on to enter the top 25.
