5A Summer Power Rankings

<p>5A has really increased the level of talent that they have across the board. The level of Division 1 talent continues to rise and a lot fo these 5A school could beat a lot of 6A schools. </p> <p><strong>5. Woods Cross High School || Region 5 ||</strong></p> <p>Woods Cross has some really good pieces as you look at players that could help like <strong>Alex Brey</strong> who is a hybrid big, although he is undersized he has the skills and if e could stay out of foul trouble he could really help this squad make a deep run again. The evolution of [player_tooltip player_id="969245" first="Jaxon" last="Smith"] has been spectacular as he has turned into a scoring guard that could complement his team. [player_tooltip player_id="934027" first="Mason" last="Bendinger"] has been as good as advertised and when he’s on the high school  team he could go in that mid-post and just over power players in his sweet spot. [player_tooltip player_id="1185170" first="Hunter" last="Jackson"] could be a key piece if he starts or comes off the bench. This id can play. </p> <p><strong>4. Lehi High School || Region 8 ||</strong></p> <p>Don’t think we forgot about a team that has some solid scoring across the board and the way [player_tooltip player_id="1057037" first="Cooper" last="Lewis"] is shooting he is really going to hurt teams as they have some elite sets for guards to flourish. [player_tooltip player_id="969237" first="Braxton" last="Hawkins"] has gotten better and [player_tooltip player_id="1168376" first="Grayson" last="Brousseau"] is a force on the blocks. </p> <p><strong>3, Olympus High School || Region 6 ||</strong></p> <p>Had a few growing pains as they adjust to their new roster but [player_tooltip player_id="1057020" first="Jordan" last="Barnes"] is the best PG in the Class of 2024 as he serves as a facilitator and scorer. [player_tooltip player_id="1057034" first="Dutch" last="Dowdell"] is one of the best shooters with size in the West. These two will score a lot they just need some more players to step up. </p> <p><strong>2. Alta High School || Region 8 ||</strong></p> <p>Alta could have the quickest turn around as they rebuilt last year playing a lot of young player and they have reaped the benefits of that. Nash Hinck is playing well and [player_tooltip player_id="1439888" first="Carter" last="Goodfellow"] is stepping up but the play of [player_tooltip player_id="1298532" first="Jaxon" last="Johnson"] this summer has college coaches seeing the massive upside in his game. The dude can play and with high level shooting ability at 6’8 he is a big time prospect. </p> <p><strong>1. Murray High School || Region 6 ||</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="934036" first="Chudi" last="Anosike"] is the best local player in the Class of 2023. He is a great lead guard that can score in various ways and he is taking what the defense gives him. When his motor is on he is super tough. [player_tooltip player_id="934037" first="Jaxson" last="Workman"] is one of the best shooting PG’s you will see out there. They have some solid players coming in and out of the roster like [player_tooltip player_id="1129118" first="Tayshaun" last="Tramel"] and<strong> Deacon Poole</strong>.
