We’ll take a look at positional rankings, ranking the guards, wings and bigs.
Here’s a look at part one of the guards rankings, ranking 10-6 of the point and combo guards in the class of 2025.
10) Cy Hardy Cy Hardy 5'11" | PG Nortide | 2025 State VA | 5’10” PG | Northside (#21 Overall)
Hardy is one of the top young players in the Roanoke area, and had a number of big games for Northside showing his natural ability to score the basketball. He’s super crafty off the bounce and is strong with the ball in his hands, he can create space and knock down shots from multiple levels and he can initiate the offense and run the show as well.
9) Camryn Pacheco Camryn Pacheco 6'4" | CG Spotswood | 2025 State VA | 6’3” CG | Spotswood (#19 Overall)
Pacheco is the youngest of three brothers who were stars at Spotswood, and unlike his brothers he may not have the same size but he has great guard skills both on the ball and off the ball. He is a knock down shooter off the catch who can spot up and has good range, he plays with good pace off the bounce and is excellent in the pick-and-roll and he already has good size as a guard too.
8) Troy Henderson Troy Henderson 5'9" | PG Lancaster | 2025 State VA | 5’9” PG | Lancaster (#18 Overall)
Henderson’s brother was a standout at LC Bird and now at CNU one of the top D3 schools in the country, and his family moved to the northern neck where he plays for Lancaster who has traditionally been the best team in the area. He’s a super smooth guard with a good skillset as he can get wherever he wants on the floor, he has great feel as a playmaker and vision as a passer and he can create space and knock down shots efficiently.
7) Masiah Stevens Masiah Stevens 5'10" | PG Woodside | 2025 State #263 Nation VA | 5’10” PG | Woodside (#17 Overall)
Stevens is one of the most talented young guards in the 757 which is chock full of talented players, and he has game changing speed and natural ability off the bounce. He has a lightning quick first step and is able to get in the lane where he’s a good finisher over bigger defenders, he can knock down shots from deep when he’s left open and he’s only going to get better as he is able to polish up his natural ability.
6) Ashton Walker Ashton Walker 6'5" | PG Catholic | 2025 State #172 Nation VA | 5’11” PG | Oak Hill Academy (#15 Overall)
Walker was a standout at Salem in Virginia Beach as a freshman and has had a huge summer playing up with Wave Basketball 16U, and he may be a little low on this list as he is one of the most polished guards you’ll see at his age. He has a great feel for the game and rarely makes mistakes, he has the ball on a string and can break down defenders in isolation situations or the pick-and-roll and he’s able to score the ball in different ways from all three levels. He’ll be a guy to watch as he develops at national powerhouse Oak Hill Academy.
