Indrusaitis Leads Shorthanded St. Rita over Lake Forest

I began the day watching [player_tooltip player_id="1157223" first="Nojus" last="Indrusaitis"] for the first time with his new school. But oddly, [player_tooltip player_id="1157228" first="James" last="Brown"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1157230" first="Morez" last="Johnson"] were both out. So was [player_tooltip player_id="1385285" first="Melvin" last="Bell"], who has been healing an injury. [player_tooltip player_id="1157223" first="Nojus" last="Indrusaitis"] was exchanging buckets early with [player_tooltip player_id="989263" first="Asa" last="Thomas"] of Lake Forest. Thomas is one of the top prospects in 2023 with several high major offers. He hit three triples in the first half. He’s got a really nice shooting stroke and played with a lot of confidence all game. But it was St. Rita who had the upper hand. [player_tooltip player_id="1295528" first="Jordan" last="Chandler"], a 2023 point guard, had 18 points to lead the way. He’ll surely play a bigger role in the backcourt with [player_tooltip player_id="1157213" first="Jaedin" last="Reyna"] and [player_tooltip player_id="994687" first="Kaiden" last="Space"] transferring. Nojus had an excellent game too, as he found buckets from all levels. Despite the loss, Thomas scored 33 points for lake forest.

Young Bounces Back to Beat Brother Rice

Brother Rice 2023 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1048307" first="Ahmad" last="Henderson"] had two triples early against Young. He’s a pure floor general with excellent ball handling and vision. He got the crusaders off to a 17-6 start early. But Whitney Young never faded. 2023 SG [player_tooltip player_id="939072" first="Marcus" last="Pigram"] made some great plays. He started with an and-one finish down low and another bucket inside. He also extended his range for a 3-ball to cut the lead. At the same time, 2025 F [player_tooltip player_id="1385300" first="Antonio" last="Munoz"] was making some very athletic plays for Young. Had three impressive dunks in transition, leading to ten first half points Pigram stayed hot in the 2nd half. He found buckets inside and behind the arc, and had euro-step finish and filled a nice lane for a basket. But Rice made this a game as Henderson and [player_tooltip player_id="1436161" first="Cale" last="Cosme"] made some excellent plays. Although smaller, the two create an excellent partnership in the backcourt. But [player_tooltip player_id="939057" first="Dalen" last="Davis"], [player_tooltip player_id="1048324" first="Daniel" last="Johnson"], and transfer Ian Boyd put the game out of reach with some clutch baskets and free throws. [player_tooltip player_id="939072" first="Marcus" last="Pigram"] finished with 22 points in the win. [player_tooltip player_id="1048307" first="Ahmad" last="Henderson"] scored 23.

[player_tooltip player_id="1279759" first="Hunter" last="Duncan"] Shines In Evanston Win vs Kenwood

2023 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1279759" first="Hunter" last="Duncan"] started his high school career at La Lumeire. He played last summer with Fenwick, before attending school at St. Viator for his junior year. He now plays with Evanston. Duncan got off to a strong start against Kenwood with a dunk in transition and pull-up three. He then made a terrific play where he dribbled past two defenders on the perimeter, and exploded down the lane for a layup. It wasn’t just Duncan who impressed. 6’5” 2023 Guard Josh Thomas showed off with two dunks filling holes in the paint during the first half. He got a third dunk in the final seconds of the game. 6’6" F [player_tooltip player_id="1215286" first="Prince" last="Adams"] also made several athletic plays for E-Town. Meanwhile, 2024 F Calvin Robbins also made some athletic plays of his own for Kenwood. He hit a three and followed it up with a big block on a dunk attempt. An and-one finish and had a breakaway slam in transition were just a few other moments that stood out from his game. [player_tooltip player_id="939050" first="Darrin" last="Ames"] did not play for Kenwood.
