PrimeTime Invitational: Additional Top Performers

This past weekend I was able to take in the PrimeTime Invitational presented by Monarch Sports. This event had a very balanced 8 team field. The championship game came down to Perry and Brophy Prep with Perry coming out on top.   While there were only so many that could make the All-Tournament team these were some additional players that also performed well during the two day event: [player_tooltip player_id="814037" first="Ky" last="Green"] Liberty (Featured Image) The senior guard was a high wire act this weekend at Brophy. Anything near the rim and he was trying to put it on the defenders head. He was also very active on the boards for the Lions. [player_tooltip player_id="1334752" first="Caden" last="Bass"] Peoria The young wing showed a nice variety of moves. He was best when attacking downhill. He also hit multiple deep 3’s this weekend. [player_tooltip player_id="831115" first="Kevin" last="Patton Jr"] Mountain Pointe The senior wing fit in nicely with his new squad. He brought his usual skills to the party. He was long and active on defense and tough to keep out of the paint when he attacked the basket. [player_tooltip player_id="992829" first="Gabe" last="Pickens"] Millennium Can you imagine trying to stop a bowling ball going down the alley? That’s what it looked like as defenders tried to stop the junior point guard. His burst and strength was just too much for most who tried to guard him. [player_tooltip player_id="1216984" first="Caden" last="Hunter"] Liberty (Featured Image) The senior forward battled as hard as anyone in the paint this weekend. He was a tough cover because he would catch and shoot one play and the very next play he was punishing a defender in the paint. [player_tooltip player_id="1202068" first="Canyon" last="Torres"] Salpointe Catholic The tough guard didn’t back down from anyone this weekend. Even when his outside shot wasn’t falling he found ways to stay involved and get points. He should be in line for a big senior season. [player_tooltip player_id="814516" first="Bryce" last="Ford"] Pinnacle Senior guard played a nice floor game this weekend. Everyone knows he’s one of the best shooters in the state but as of late he’s beginning to show his skills as a passer more. He showed his sneaky bounce during the event also.

Kevin Patton Jr Kevin Patton Jr 6'8" | SF Mountain Pointe | 2023 #130 Nation CA-S Mountain Pointe

Gabe Pickens Gabe Pickens 6'0" | PG Dream City Christian | 2024 State AZ Millennium
