Tate Van Regenmorter Tate Van Regenmorter 6'5" | PF Western Christian | 2023 State IA (Western Chritsian)
This spring Tate has shown why he is one of the better stretch big men in the class of 2023. He has been shooting the three-ball at a high level and dominating down on the block! His impact on the games comes from both ends of the floor! He can block shots and protect the rim while lighting up the scoreboard! His jump shot has a high release and smooth form making it hard for the defense to contest. Expect Tate to have a huge senior season for a solid Western Christian squad.
Tate Petersen Tate Petersen 6'1" | PG Monticello | 2023 State IA (Monticello)
Tate has been lighting up the scoreboard every time he steps on the court! He is a shifty guard with a tight handle, who can get it done from all three levels of the court. It doesn’t take much for Tate to get going, when I watched him this past month he had 31 points in the second half! Look for Petersen to continue to score the ball at a high level all of his senior season.
Jonathan Howard Jonathan Howard 6'1" | SG Dallas Center-Grimes | 2024 State IA (Dallas Center-Grimes)
Jonathan is one of the better shooters I have seen in the class of 2024. He moves well without the ball getting to his spots for open looks. His jump shot has a quick release so he has no problem getting it off all game. Not only does he just shoot the ball at a high level, he sees the court really well and is always looking to make the extra pass. This spring he has been shooting the three-ball around 50%. Look for him to continue the hot shooting streak into his junior season!
Kiki Deng Kiki Deng 6'4" | SG Valley | 2025 State IA (Valley HS)
Kiki has an elite wiggle to his game making it hard for defenders to stay in front of him. He can play the point guard and get to the rim when he needs, or spot up off the ball and knock down open shots. His length and athleticism along with his burst of speed make him a problem when attacking the rim. Kiki has had an excellent spring playing up two years and still getting his game off just fine. Look for him to play a good role for Valley High in his sophomore season with that role continuing to grow year after year.
Jack McCaffery Jack McCaffery 6'8" | SF Iowa City West | 2025 State #70 Nation IA (Iowa City West)
Jack McCaffery Jack McCaffery 6'8" | SF Iowa City West | 2025 State #70 Nation IA has a little bit of everything when it comes to his game. His size gives him the ability to score at all three levels on the court. He is smart when knowing what to do with what the defense gives him. For his size, Jack has a really nice jump shot! He can shoot the ball spotting up or off the dribble. When he plays inside the arc he uses his body really well, often taking advantage of mismatches. Continue to pay attention to Jack, he will be one of the top 2025 players in the state!
