The collection of talent in the gym is exceptional and includes many of the nation’s top prospects in addition to a handful of California-based prospects that we have seen at length over the last few years. Below are some standout performers from Sunday night’s action on Court 1 and Court 2.
Kevin Patton Jr Kevin Patton Jr 6'8" | SF Mountain Pointe | 2023 #130 Nation CA-S ., Maricopa (AZ) – We’ve seen Patton quite a bit over the spring and summer and his game continues to impress. The long, athletic 6-foot-8 wing is a transition scoring threat with his ability to glide to the rim, avoid contact with balanced side-steps and score with finesse or power. Patton has also continued to make strides as a catch-and-shooter from three-point range.
Baye Fall Baye Fall 6'11" | C Luthern Christian | 2023 State #13 Nation CO , Accelerated Schools (CO) – Fall is an elite level athlete at 6-feet-11 and, when you combine that with how hard he plays on both ends, you find yourself with a productive forward/center prospect. Fall has a good set of hands, is light on his feet and explodes off the floor quickly for dunks and rebounds inside. His willingness to get out and run in transition puts pressure on the defense and his length, combined with his quick leaping ability, makes him a high level rim protector.
Chris Lockett Chris Lockett 6'5" | CG Isidore Newman | 2023 State #180 Nation LA , Isidore Newman (LA) – If we had to pick one word to describe Lockett it would the “aggressive.” The 6-foot-5 combo guard out of Louisiana had his motor cranked up high from the jump and his quickness, strength and physicality, to go along with his willingness to push the pace, had the defense off-balance for the majority of the game. Lockett did most of his damage on paint touches where he finishes strong through contact.
Cody Williams Cody Williams 6'8" | SF Perry | 2023 State #25 Nation AZ , Perry (AZ) – Williams is oozing with upside. From his wiry 6-foot-7 frame to his fluid and explosive athleticism and his ability to stretch the floor to the three-point line, the rising senior out of Arizona has a true wing/forward skill-set with plenty of room to grow. Williams can do a little bit of everything from hitting open shots, slashing and finishing in the half-court setting, creating for teammates off the bounce and gliding into transition finishes.
Amier Ali Amier Ali 6'8" | SF Canyon International Academy | 2024 State #38 Nation AZ , Montverde (FL) – Ali’s gift is his combination of physicality, high motor and aggressiveness when attacking the basket in transition. The 6-foot-8 forward looks to dunk everything when he gets paint touches, rim runs hard on the break and works hard on both the offensive and defensive boards. Ali is a productive two-way player and has a college-ready frame.
