The ability to spread the floor and simple math (3 is great than 2) has led to mass changes in strategy that has placed more value on the ability to hit from beyond the arc. Oklahoma always has a great linage of marksman, and here’s a look at a few sharpshooters from Stillwater last week.
Isaiah McElmore, 6’4 Class of 2024, Owasso
Owasso is replacing a lot of offensive production with younger players. They have an exciting group but so far in June the rangy McElmore has been one of their most impressive players. After good shooting in Tulsa, his Friday performance in Stillwater proved that he could be among the better shooters in 2024. He’s at his best as a catch and shoot option and is often aggressively hunting for those opportunities. To go along with strong shooting, his good size and willingness to get dirty makes him a plus rebounder for a perimeter player. Improving his handles will be the next step in the Ram’s evolution as a player.
Camden Hyman, 5’10 Class of 2024, Choctaw
Last year in multiple viewings the small sophomore was a key floor spacer off the bench for the Yellowjackets. He’s still a lights out shooting but is clearly putting in work to expand his overall game and step into a bigger role. In a Friday morning game he had more ball handling responsibilities, and play designs to take advantage of when defenses overplay him, with cuts and drives to the rim.
Jaden Constant, 6’2 Class of 2024, Putnam City West
The junior has a good frame for his size and can do some damage off the bounce. But for a fast pace team, that thrives on getting to the rim, the promise Constant showed knocking down perimeter shots could be crucial for West. Spreading the floor will prevent teams from zoning the Pats and allow them to still be efficient in the halfcourt.

One of the great benefits of modern social media is lower barrier to entry for people to promote prospects. Here’s two more 2023s that can fill it up from beyond the arc and did so in Stillwater.
Ryan Guerrero Ryan Guerrero 5'11" | PG Southmoore | 2023 State OK , 5’11 Class of 2023, Southmoore
Last year, Guerrero caught the eye with impressive shooting in Bartlesville in a January tournament. With a big role expected as a senior, Guerrero thrived with increased shooting volume over the weekend in Stillwater. Add in some good work in the midrange in the clips below and it looks like he’s becoming more than “just a shooter”.
Great weekend for @ryan_guerrero22 at OSU team camp. Shot 52% 18/34 from 3pt line over the weekend @SouthmooreHoops @BasketballRogue @NxtProHoopsOK @OkieBall_1 @PrepHoopsOk pic.twitter.com/pHRzTHXb8Z

Jayden Cincotta Jayden Cincotta 6'1" | SG Edmond Santa Fe | 2023 State OK , 6’2 Class of 2023, Edmond Santa Fe
Cincotta is a senior that has long been among the top shooters in the state. His junior season saw him become more of a diversified shot maker, with good work in the midrange. The Wolves made a run to the Class 6A semifinals last season, and it looks like the skilled scorer will have them in the mix again.
Had a great time @OSUMBB team camp want to thank @thacoachmike and staff for having us out. 5-1 on the weekend. @sfwolveshoops got better this week! 🐺🖤💚@NXTPROHoopsOK @OkieBall_1 @PrepHoopsOK pic.twitter.com/CF8jHvqT8i
