Carrington McNeal — Minnesota Chill — 2022
McNeal’s stock continues to rise. After playing well in Nebraska a couple of weekends ago, the point guard made another strong impression this past weekend in Minneapolis. The PG is an aggressive attacker off the dribble who loves to create contact in the paint. He has a lot of strength, which he uses to play physical defense and finish layups through contact.
Jerry Freeman — Minnesota Heat — 2024
In one of the best games of the weekend, Freeman was a major reason why his Minnesota Heat squad was able to walk away with a thrilling overtime victory. He made plays in almost every way you could think of. He made big-time passes, secured a huge offensive rebound, and tallied two steals late to clinch the win.
Hayden Goff — CYAL Rebels — 2024
I love the confidence and swagger that Goff plays with. When the point guard makes a big-time play, he isn’t afraid to let his opponents know it. Goff plays really hard on both ends, and he has a competitive fire that burns bright. He is also very skilled. The PG makes tough shots, finishes layups, and is a great on-ball defender. Keep an eye on Goff going forward.
Raoul Vaidya Raoul Vaidya 6'0" | PG Maple Grove | 2023 State MN — Northstar Titans — 2023
Vaidya does an outstanding job of running the show for a solid Northstar Titans squad. He is a really good ballhandler, excellent passer, and aggressive defender. He simply makes everyone he plays with better. Vaidya is also a very good shot-maker who can put a lot of pressure on opposing defenses. The point guard has had a great spring and he is ready for a big summer.
Andre’ Austin — Pack — 2025
Austin was super impressive this past weekend. Even though he was playing up two age groups, the point guard was one of the best players on the court. He passed really well, finished layups at the rim, and played tremendous defense. Austin is a PG that is oozing with potential. If he continues to improve and develop, he is going to be elite.
Darius Chesnut — RIT Elite — 2023
While I think shooting guard might be his position for the future, Chesnut did play some point guard this past weekend for RIT Elite. And he played really well. The PG is strong and very physical on both ends. When slashing to the rim, he does a great job of using his strength to get tough buckets through contact. He definitely still has room to grow, but for now, Chesnut is an excellent prospect with a lot of potential.
