At the conclusion of each tournament, a new recurring article will be the ’GameChangers’ series – sponsored by GameChanger.

GameChanger brings you the best scorekeeping, live video streaming, and team management services of any mobile app on the market. This is a product every grassroots team in the country can use to better serve their players and their families.

How do you get into the GameChanger article? By being a difference-maker for your team, being unselfish, consistent plays, diving on the floor, playing hard all game, boarding up, getting D-stops, being a glue guy, scoring timely buckets, hitting gamechanging triples, and many others.

17U GameChangers

[player_tooltip player_id="1288798" first="Bronell" last="Marcus"] |6’5 SG| Minnesota Heat 2023 PVR

He was a gamechanger with his athleticism, length, and playmaking ability. Marcus had multiple impressive Dunks & Whams. I also liked the looks of his pull-up game. He is a headache of a matchup with length and dynamic athleticism.  On defense, Bronell protected the basket and created turnovers. Marcus was great at the NHR State Tournament!

[player_tooltip player_id="1139350" first="Hudson" last="Vaith"] |6’5 G| Minnesota Heat McDonald

He was a gamechanger with his size, versatility, and athleticism. Vaith rebounded well when I was checking out his game. He is a flexible defender that can guard multiple positions with his length and mobility. He can also turn the ball over on defense. On the offensive end, Vaith will take what the defense gives him and score in a variety of ways.

[player_tooltip player_id="1288789" first="Luke" last="Jacobson"] |6’1 G| Northstar Titans 2023 Terhaar

He was a gamechanger by stuffing the stat sheet. Jacobson played a complete game when I watched. He scored in a variety of ways, rebounded well, dropped dimes, and he forced turnovers. He can take over the game with his pure jump shot. Luke is a scorer and a skilled baller. He is a fun player to watch and he is a producer.

[player_tooltip player_id="962221" first="Jackson" last="Ressler"]  |6’4 G| Northstar Titans 2023 Stone

He changed the game with his all-around play and his unselfishness. Ressler had a beautiful no-look pass out to a teammate which resulted in 3-points for the Titans. He also had a couple of nice scoring plays with a triple and a tough slash-and-score where he finished through contact. Jackson will do what it takes to help his team win.

[player_tooltip player_id="1158739" first="Raoul" last="Vaidya"] |6’0 G| Northstar Titans Stone

He changed the game in many ways. Vaidya can score from all 3-levels with triples, jumpers, and creative layups. He is a quick guard that handles it well. He is a facilitator with good eyes and court awareness. Raoul can also create turnovers and take them the other way for buckets. Vaidya had a very nice weekend at the NHR State Tournament.

Keetan Eagle |5’10 G| Pack

He changed the game as a three-point shooter. Keetan may not be the biggest player on the court, but he can shoot with the best of them. Eagle is always ready to shoot with good hands and feet. He lets it fly with confidence and this kid can get hot and take over a game 3 points at a time.

16U GameChangers

[player_tooltip player_id="1401336" first="Erick" last="Paye"] |6’5 PF| Bears Tail Basketball

He was a gamechanger with his strength, explosiveness, and power. Paye blocked shots and protected the rim. Opposing players had to think twice about going up against Erick at the basket. He also did a very nice job of collecting rebounds. The big man can also run the floor well, Paye scored a handful of points in fastbreak situations.

[player_tooltip player_id="1161538" first="Dalton" last="Lamp"] |6’1 G| Bears Tail Basketball

He changed the game with his three-point shooting and his lethal pull-up jump shot. Lamp can fill it up in a hurry and take over in a heartbeat. His extended range stretches the D. Eventually the opposing team had to chase Dalton and this opened up driving lanes for his teammates. His handles are impressive, his confidence is great, and he plays with swagger.

[player_tooltip player_id="1161524" first="Daniel" last="Yorke"] |6’0 G| Bears Tail Basketball

He changed the game with his athleticism. Yorke was making plays left and right when I was watching. He was great at penetrating into the paint for buckets or penetrating and kicking. He showed extra effort and hustle when scrambling for O-boards. Dan can make plays in the blink of an eye with his next-level athleticism.

Dhimani Tucker |5’7 G| MN Chill Elite

He changed the game with his excellent hustle. Tucker was sacrificing his body and diving on the court for loose balls. He also showed quick hands when stealing the ball and making turnovers. Dhimani has excellent ball skills and I like his demeanor. He is a smooth guard and a two-way player.

15U GameChangers

Brian Zarazua |6’3 G| Bears Tail Basketball

He changed the game with his complete overall skill. Zararzua is a cool customer with the ball, he has the handles and shiftiness to break down defenders and make plays on the regular. His jumper is smooth and effective. Brian is a creative and crafty finisher. He is also a smart and clever defender. He is a dynamic playmaker with a great feel for the game.

Kyle Kremer |6’2 SF| West Central Wildcats

He was a gamechanger because of his aggression and physicality. He was really tough on the boards on O & D. Kremer refused to be boxed out and his motor never stopped. On offense, Kyle never stopped moving and he was always attempting to make plays. He made a great first impression on Friday night. He is going to be a tough player in Class A ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="1477113" first="Alex" last="Wetterlin"] |6’3 F| The Next Level Basketball Academy

He changed the game with his flexibility, adaptability, and overall skill. Wtterlin is a tough matchup with his size, length, and scoring ability from the perimeter. He has a smooth stroke from beyond the arc. Alex also made plays at the elbow and in the lane. He really impressed me by diving on the floor for 50/50 balls. Look out for this Packer.

[player_tooltip player_id="1477112" first="Isaac" last="Beauchamp"] |5’9 G| The Next Level Basketball Academy

He changed the game by being a floor general, controlling the tempo, and taking care of the ball. He stood out in up-tempo situations and he dished out multiple assists. Isaac changed the game with his scoring and his sweet jump shot.  He is a good-looking young PG that can create his own shot but also create good looks for his teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id="1477140" first="John" last="Lent"] |6’2 F| CYAL Rebels

He changed the game with his physicality and strength. Lent completely dominated the beginning of the game when I was watching. He set the tone early and he showed everyone that he was the MAN on the floor. He also changed the game with rebounding and O-board buckets. Lent did a bit of everything and he was all over the court.

[player_tooltip player_id="1355919" first="Bennett" last="Larson"] |6’5 PF| 3ND Hoops Fam

He changed the game with his effort and hustle. Bennett impressed me with extra effort when saving a ball from going out of bounds. Larson was constantly crashing the boards and fighting for rebounds. He was very physical in the paint on both ends of the floor. His competitive edge made an impact on the game.
