He played an all-around game despite the loss to Carlsbad. <strong>Elijah</strong> showcased his scoring by taking it to the rim with ease and his playmaking when driving to the basket. At his size, he brought the entire package to the floor and was West Mesa’s best player in the game vs Carlsbad. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><img class="size-medium wp-image-1481412 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/06/Sonny-crop-604x397-1654911934-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" />[player_tooltip player_id="1076703" first="Sonny" last="Ortiz"]- 6’4 Forward "West Mesa" Class of 2023</span></p> <p>Despite the loss to Carlsbad late Friday afternoon, [player_tooltip player_id="1076703" first="Sonny" last="Ortiz"] showcased his lights out three-point shooting from long range. There was serval times <strong>Sonny</strong> got himself open by moving without the ball and converted several three-point shots in the game. A few of his three-point shots were from catch and shoot opportunities. What makes <strong>Sonny</strong> a dangerous shooter is when he pump fakes, than pulls up for his three-point shots. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/06/Quise-1-crop-604x397-1654912122.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-1481417 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/06/Quise-1-crop-604x397-1654912122-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /></a>Marquise Renfro- 6’1 Guard "Atrisco Heritage" Class of 2024</span></p> <p><strong>Marquise</strong> was the best player for Atrisco Heritage in their blowout win vs Manzano.
