The event featured some of the top private schools from Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina, and had hundreds of college coaches in attendance. We’ll have tons of content from the weekend, continuing with some of the 2024 standouts from VA.
Pat Ngongba | 6’10” C | Paul VI
Ngongba is so intriguing because he just keeps growing physically and in his game and as he finishes growing he should become more athletic and then it will be very scary. He has great hands and feet in the post and has a number of post moves in his arsenal, he showed touch out to the three-point line and he is very active on the glass and there to clean up misses on the offensive end. He has such good touch around the rim and is a physical force in the paint and should continue to get better and better.
Garrett Sundra Garrett Sundra 6'11" | C Paul VI | 2024 State VA | 6’9” PF | Paul VI
Sundra continues to look like one of the most improved players in the DMV, and he showed flashes throughout the event that he’s going to be very special moving forward. He’s grown to 6’9” and grown into his body filling out and becoming more fluid of an athlete, he runs the floor hard and can play above the rim and he brings a lot of toughness and grit to his team with his all-out style of play. What separates him from others is his ability to play both in the paint and on the perimeter, as he is a good shooter from deep and passer when he steps outside.

| 6’7” F | Flint Hill
Gorman is a very intriguing 2024 prospect as he has a unique perimeter skillset at his size that makes him a walking mismatch. He has very long arms and is a fluid athlete who can handle the rock and shoot it from deep, he moves well off the ball to cut and get open and can finish above the rim and he can create shots off the bounce and push the ball in transition. As he continues to hone his skillset and find ways to be productive he’ll see his recruitment pick up moving forward.

DeLaurier is starting to take off as a national recruit, as he has developed nicely over the past few years and is starting to turn the corner with his game and production level. He’s grown into his body and become more fluid of an athlete, he’s become more explosive as a finisher above the rim and he can step out where he can shoot the ball from deep and is a good passer as well. He’s a really tough kid who played through injury throughout the weekend and was still productive against very good competition.
Jamari Hodnett Jamari Hodnett 6'2" | PG Bishop Ireton | 2024 State VA | 6’1” PG | Bishop Ireton
Hodnett is an underrated guard in the DMV who sometimes gets overshadowed by the seniors on Ireton, but he does a lot of things you want out of a point guard on a talented team. He’s strong with the ball and controls the tempo of the game, he’s unselfish with good feel and the ability to touch the paint regularly and he picks his spots and scores it efficiently in a number of different ways. He’s a good defender who brings it on that side of the ball as well and just impacts the game in winning ways.
