2024 Rankings Update: The Other Newcomer Wings

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1476972" first="Zahj" last="Collins"] (Roosevelt) [103]:</strong> A 6-4 combo forward who can score inside and out, Collins showed his ability to stretch the floor as a sophomore and has put together a strong spring with Pure Prep. He’s a good athlete who competes on the glass on both ends of the floor. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1476976" first="Caden" last="Hood"] (Johnston) [117]:</strong> A 6-4 wing who can shoot it, Hood moves well off the ball and has a quick release off the catch. He’ll have a chance to step into the Dragons’ rotation as a junior and become a major contributor with his length on both ends of the floor. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/04/A2C92AE7-F11A-4332-87ED-54D7DAFAE5AD.jpeg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-1437447" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/04/A2C92AE7-F11A-4332-87ED-54D7DAFAE5AD-300x225.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1288898" first="Beau" last="Chamberlain"] (Heelan) [121]:</strong> A solid 6-2/6-3 wing who can score from all three levels, Chamberlain is a strong perimeter defender as well who uses his length effectively and gets into passing lanes. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1476990" first="Jaden" last="Rogers"] (Waukee) [144]:</strong> A versatile defender a 6-4, Rogers blocked 19 shots as a sophomore and showed his ability to score from all three levels for the Warriors. He has the length and athleticism to make a major impact on the defensive end of the floor. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1476992" first="Lucas" last="Frohwein"] (Colo-Nesco) [146]:</strong> The 6-1 combo forward had a big-time year as a sophomore for the Royals, averaging 17.1 points and 6.8 rebounds a game. He’s a strong finisher around the rim and has the ability to create for others. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1238369" first="Zach" last="Hesse"] (Sioux City North) [148]:</strong> The Stars had a rough year last season, but Hesse was a bright spot, averaging 7.8 points and 3.0 rebounds a game as a sophomore who started all 23 games. A 6-2 wing with some length, he’s a reliable 3-point shooting threat who has worked to improve his ball-handling and ability to create his own shot this spring with Arena Basketball Club. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1476994" first="Reese" last="Trepanier"] (West Branch) [149]:</strong> A 6-0 wing who gets to the rim and finishes at a high level, Trepanier shot nearly 59% from the floor as a sophomore. He needs to work on extending his range, but he’s a really good finisher at the bucket and a strong rebounder with a high motor. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1476995" first="Timothy" last="Hills"] (Columbus) [150]:</strong> A bouncy wing with length, Hills provides some versatility on the defensive end, averaging nearly 3.0 "stocks" a game as a sophomore for the Wildcats. He finishes well around the rim, has the length and bounce to contribute on the glass, and his free-throw shooting suggests that he may be able to extend his range with some more consistency. </p>
