Check out my scouting reports and analysis on some of the top prospects in attendance at the PrepHoops Space City Collision. Look for these guys to have a massive boost in recruiting over the next few months, and be sure to keep tabs on them as they continue to develop!

Sion Cleveland 2025 6’0 Memorial High School, TX (1 Dream 1 Team Sports 2025)

Sion is a confident combo guard who thrives at getting to his shot off the bounce from all three levels of the floor. The combo guard has come a long way over the last few circuit months and is now a dynamic scorer from the midrange and beyond the arc. During one of the games this weekend he hit an off balance game winner coming out of the pick and roll. He used the screen tremendously to his advantage and got a great look at an almost runner/ floater from deep. He is showing off a tremendous amount of IQ for a point guard and is beginning to use it to set up looks for his teammates and himself. I was very impressed by the ease in which he scored from all three levels of the floor and how he hunts for his midrange shots on a regular basis.

Jackson Shockley 2025 6’4 Denton Guyer High School, TX (AYG Lakers 2025)

Jackson is a high level wing with great size who knows how to fight on the interior and beat up his opponents down low, while also using his handle to create separation as he gets downhill. The dual sport athlete is a smart quarterback for his football team as well, which is not surprising when you watch him play and lead his team through his on court actions. I was very impressed at the patience and leadership he displayed on the defensive end of the court, anchoring his team’s defense while also calling out assignments to his teammates on the perimeter. He is a smart defender who times up his blocks well, and uses his length to high point rebounds and blocks. He knows how to use his size to dominant on the interior, but is a capable and dynamic athlete in the full court as well. I loved watching him operate out of the high post and out of the triple threat, where he used jab steps to create separation for himself. It was really fun watching him lead his team in every aspect of the game, and shows what kind of natural leadership qualities this young man has in him already.

Mason Douglas 2025 5’10 Eleanor Rosevelt High School, DC (2025 ESF Threat DC Black)

Mason is a nasty shooter who can get it done with ease off the bounce from all three levels of the floor. He was very impressive with the ease in which he scored off the bounce and got himself to the free throw line on top of it. An aspect of his game that really stood out was his constant motion without the basketball, and the havoc he created by running off of off-ball screens and spotting up in the corners by running the baseline. It created real confusion against the 3-2 zone they saw and allowed him to get easy looks off in the corners all game. He is a very consistent shooter off the catch and thrives at getting open without using a dribble. On the defensive end of the floor, he has active hands and is an intense on ball defender. He came up with multiple steals and used them to attack the defense in the open court and get to the free throw line. At the line he was incredibly consistent, which is not surprising giving his sharp shooting prowess.

Javori Washington 2025 6’1 Cypress Falls High School, TX (1 Dream 1 Team Sports 2025)

Javori is an aggressive guard who can lock up his defender and finish through the chest of any opponent in the paint. He is elite at turning defense into offense and finishing on the fast break. In transition, he is a force to be reckoned with, he attacks straight down the floor and forces the defense to react. He is good at waiting for just the right moment to find his teammates wide open cutting to the basket after drawing the attention of their defender. His relentlessness with a live dribble and constant penetration allows him to live in the paint, and create countless opportunities for his teammates. I was very impressed with his ability to not only hunt for his own shot but create layups from his dump off passes after drawing a second defender, or an accurate pass out to his shooters. In the half court, he is a real weapon out of the pick and roll through his ability to tightly turn the corner and forcing the second defender to make a decision. He calmly makes the right reads time and time again to get his teammates open looks.

Gerald Mcafee 2025 5’11 Jack Yates High School, TX (1 Dream 1 Team Sports 2025)

Gerald is a scrappy combo guard with the ability to fill it up at any given moment. He has a smooth stroke from outside and is a consistent catch and shoot weapon. He is aggressive with a live dribble and consistently looks to attack the basket and finish at the rim. Mcafee does not need to be scoring the ball at a high level to affect the game however, he is aggressive and never gives up on plays in transition. He had an emphatic chase down block on a wing that helped change the momentum of the game during the first night of the tournament. He is the ideal 6th man who can come in and provide a spark with his play on both ends of the court. He worked hard on the defensive end of the floor every second he was out there.
