May Recruiting Notes: South Florida

<p>Happy May!</p> <p>The South Florida recruiting seen has been busy with news across the area. Here are some things that have been going on. Please feel free to reach out to me at my socials with any information that might come up.</p> <p>2023 [player_tooltip player_id="812637" first="Greg" last="Spate"] has decided to transfer to West Oaks Academy in Orlando. The 6-foot-6 point guard was at Coral Springs this past season. Spate averaged 18.3 points per game across 26 contests. His height and length is a huge advantage in the backcourt. Spate can create off the dribble and facilitate to teammates. I think his overall ball handling continues to improve. In addition, his ability to connect out to the 3-point is starting to flash. He can only benefit by getting stronger as he enters the college level. Spate certainty has the frame to do it and therefore has a ton of upside. Two of his offers are from Chicago State and NJIT. </p> <p>2022 Chris Cochran has chosen to PG at Fork Union Military Academy (VA). The 6-foot-8, 210-pound power forward/center played at King’s Academy in West Palm Beach. Cochran was primarily a baseball player up to this point. His size and power gives him an advantage as he develops.</p> <p>2025 [player_tooltip player_id="1301714" first="Cameron" last="Boozer"] was named Miami Mr. Basketball. The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 18.9 points, 10.9 rebounds and four assists per game while leading Columbus to a 7A state title. His brother, [player_tooltip player_id="1301715" first="Cayden" last="Boozer"], finished fourth in the voting. 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="814913" first="Esteban" last="Lluberes"] (Riviera Prep) finished second in the voting. The 5-foot-10 point guard is headed to Lynn University. </p> <p>2022 [player_tooltip player_id="955571" first="Adren" last="Roberts"] secured an offer from NAIA Dakota State. The 6-foot-5 wing averaged 9.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.2 rebounds per game for 27-3 North Broward Prep. Roberts has a nice level of offensive and defensive versatility. Moreover, his athleticism will provide help on the glass and as a shot blocker. I thought be got better over the course of the season with North Broward Prep.</p> <p>2022 [player_tooltip player_id="829396" first="Geoffrey" last="Sprouse"] committed to American University. The 6-foot-1 guard averaged 14.3 points per game for Pembroke Pines Charter. Sprouse is very quick and agile off the dribble.
