Here, I break down the top 15U shooters of the event.
Grady Carpenter Grady Carpenter 6'5" | PG Tipton | 2025 State IN , Grand Park Premier (IN)
Carpenter is a 6-foot-4 wing who shot the lights out on Saturday night for GPP. The lengthy guard hit four threes, with some coming from the wing and some coming off the dribble. He showed fantastic patience with the ball in his hands and would make smart cuts that lead to open threes for him and his teammates.
Gus Donohue – Greater Purpose (IL)
The 6-foot-2 wing from Illinois posted 12 points in a Friday-night victory to kick off the weekend. Sets his feet before every shot and uses his length to rise above defenders. Hit threes from all over the court in the win, showing off a simple shooting motion.
Aidan Murphy – M14 (IL)
Murphy hit three threes in a win for M14 on Saturday. Catch and shoot guy who had the other team shouting ’shooter’ pretty quickly into the matchup. He hit from all sides of the court, and used his smooth stroke to find the back of the net for 12 points.
Adam Crouch, JC Elite (IN)
Crouch hit 5 three pointers in an outstanding perimeter performance on Saturday night. His JC Elite squad battled and he was one of the key reasons why they stayed in it until the buzzer. Crouch is a quiet runner but sneakily found the wing and didn’t need much space to get off his shot. Hit a few from the corner as well.
Oneil Johnson, Ft. Sooy No Limit (IL)
Johnson had his jump shot going on Friday night when I saw him take on Midwest Basketball Club. The Champaign, IL wing has great size on the perimeter and hit from three as well as a few steps inside the arch. Quick release and a serious threat off the catch.
Caden Anderson (IL), M14
Anderson has a quick trigger and seemed to always find an opening when playing on the wing. The Marmion HS guard had soft touch on close-to-mid-range jumpers and also extended his game past the three-point line. Sniper from deep.
Evan Salvador (IL), Full Package 2025
I watched Salvador twice over the weekend, and he was one of the more confident shooters I’ve seen in his class. Not the biggest guard, but can create space off the dribble and picks and chooses his shots well. Lefty has a high release and loves shooting the three-ball as well as mid-range pull-ups. Used the pick and roll to his advantage to find open space for shots.
