Minnesota teams represented well in the Midwest this past weekend. Who stood out and what were the big wins? We run through that now!

Maple Grove, Minnesota. The biggest eye popping win of the Howard Pulley Showcase at the 17u level would be Real Phenom defeating Howard Pulley with six guys winning . Former Panthers [player_tooltip player_id="850729" first="Muja" last="Burton"], [player_tooltip player_id="958648" first="Hassan" last="Kamara"], and [player_tooltip player_id="958650" first="Jon" last="Haakenson"] are playing as unsigned seniors with Real Phenom and the Heights duo (Kamara and Burton) helped lead their squad over their former team (Haakenson was not available for that game). Robbinsdale Armstrong 2025 guard [player_tooltip player_id="1448601" first="Desmond" last="Ware"] and Totino-Grace 2024 Zy'lerre Stewart combined for 34 points while [player_tooltip player_id="958665" first="Jacob" last="Butler"] had 16. Phenom also knocked off the Minnesota Lightning with Butler scoring 16 and Kamara scoring 15.

What a great weekend for Minnesota Lightning Dahl who smashed four teams and then beat Kingdom Hoops Navy by two scores. [player_tooltip player_id="1225638" first="Kayden" last="Rodrick"] of Zumbrota-Mazeppa and Denton Kingland of Lake Mills are two guys that continue to have great seasons for the Lightning Dahl squad.

St. Cloud, Minnesota. So far this spring the 17u division of the SPTS has been controlled by the Wisconsin Swing and Minnesota Fury. They played on Sunday afternoon with both teams being undefeated at 7-0. The Fury squad had defeated the Rise (by eight points), the Dakota Schoolers (by a dozen), and the Comets Elite team (by 24) heading into that mid-year showdown with the Swing. The Fury came up short falling 81-74 but a potential rematch later in the year should be a ton of fun.

Minnesota Select Mantey and Minnesota Heat PVR are tied for third with 5-3 records while Playmakers North is the other team at .500 or above with their 4-4 record.

Appleton, Wisconsin. It was a big weekend for WOTN who was in Pool B of the Midwest Showdown along with Minnesota Chill and [program_tooltip program_id='2078859' first='Starks' last='Elite'] and WOTN beat both teams leading to a perfect 4-0 weekend.
