Our week in Union County continues with a look at some of the top returning players from the Classes of 2024 and 2025 to watch on the AAU Circuit. These players made impacts as freshmen and sophomores and will see their stock rise over this spring and summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="1153987" first="London" last="Carson"]| 6’4” | G | Elizabeth 2024

A smooth guard with a lethal shooters touch. Carson had moments as a sophomore where he still lacked the confidence to fire away ahead of [player_tooltip player_id="1013067" first="Sebastian" last="Robinson"] or [player_tooltip player_id="1147089" first="Etienne" last="Richelieu"], but that started to change on February 1st when he went for 18&9 in a big win over Westfield. He found himself in the playoffs and showed his lethal shooting ability in wins over Newark Eastside, Ridgewood and his masterful 21 point outing vs Marlboro in the State Final. He hit the boards when needed as a sophomore and will be called upon to take on some of the defensive responsibilities with the graduation of man-in-the-middle Sean Jules as one of the bigger returners next year for legendary coach Phil Colicchio. Hits the AAU run with the NJ Panthers and should receive D1 looks when it’s all said and done.

[player_tooltip player_id="1411621" first="Myles" last="Blackley"] | 6’3” | G | Summit 2025

The town at the heart of the Watchung Range has quite a bit of talent at its schools right now and Blackley is going to be the big star for Summit over the next few years. He’s a long, lean guard who attacks the hoop well with both hands, can light it up from deep and is an effective shot blocker on defense. His best performances as a freshman were against Scotch Plains(20), Cranford(22) and Madison(28). He plays AAU with Unity Legends and will absolutely be a player to watch over the next several years. D-1 potential.

Asher Bradley | 5’11” | G | Oratory 2025

Bradley arrived at Oratory as a player with promise and delivered a solid freshman year. He came out the gate with 6pts and 11 rebounds vs Cranford and was a contributor in every game, especially on defense. Quick feet and good applying pressure on the ballhandler. He’s a good distributor and has the court vision to change games—His top night of handing out helpers was vs Scotch Plains(7). His best offensive outputs were against power programs in Rutgers Prep(13) and Roselle Catholic(10). Also plays AAU for Unity Legends.

[player_tooltip player_id="1407094" first="Shane" last="Sheehan"]| 6’7” | F | Westfield 2024

Sheehan may have flown under the radar a bit as a sophomore given the presence of Davidson commit [player_tooltip player_id="1018572" first="Sean" last="Logan"] in the frontcourt for the Devils, but he is poised to have a big summer and breakout junior year. He showed skill around the basket on offense and is a patient defender who can alter shot trajectory with his size. He’s got good footwork in the post, has spring in his step and soft hands on his shot. As he gets bigger and his body fills out, he could be a force on defense for Westfield. His best games were against Hightstown(10&10), Plainfield(9&10) and Hackensack(8&5). Runs AAU with Unity Legends and will receive quite a bit of interest from college coaches.
