I was at Plainfield High School today and I saw a ton of impressive talent from the 16U division. Read below for the Sunday Standouts from 16U. The Stage was an amazing event this weekend in Indianapolis. This event was loaded with talent from all across the country.

SUNDAY STANDOUTS

Jai Berrios (2024) |6-4 F| Chapman Basketball Academy 2024 Black McKay/Cirillo

He showed great hangtime and athleticism when finishing. Jai really stood out as an aggressive rebounder. He did it on both ends and he did a great job on the offensive glass. Jai scored a good amount of points on O-board putbacks. Berrios is a super active player. He showed great hustle when sprinting back of D and blocking a shot. Jai had a nice Sunday on the hardwood.

Matthew McKay |6-5 SG| Chapman Basketball Academy 2024 Black McKay/Cirillo

He is a long and smooth player. Mckay showed many athletic drives and difficult finishes with defenders in his face. He also showed a very nice pull-up game. Matthew can score from deep, pull up from mid-range, and finish at the cup. He is a 3-level scorer.

Joseph Renna (2024) |6-0 G| Team Trilogy 2024

He was an efficient finisher on Sunday morning. Joseph did a bit of everything for Team Trilogy. He created turnovers, boarded up, and had a few nice assists. Renna is a nice player with an all-around game.

Maddox Sivon (2024) |6-3 F| Mid Ohio Pumas 2024 Yinger

He looked like a d-stopper this morning. Maddox blocked multiple shots and he created TO's. He is a long player that is very active on both ends of the court. Sivon slashed, drew help, and dropped dimes. This lefty had multiple assists. Sivon can also stroke it from beyond the arc.

Tim Williams (2024) |6-0 G| D1 Indiana 2024-2

He is a very quick and speedy guard. Williams showed great handles and poise. I liked his creativeness and unselfishness. Tim is a crisp passer that values the basketball. He was one of the top guards I saw today.

Devin Smith (2024) |5-10 G| Excel Basketball 2024

This guard is quick and explosive. Smith was very fast going north & south. He was always in attack mode. Devin was slashing into the teeth of the defense and dropping dimes. He had many impressive assists. Smith's shooting form was textbook. I was also impressed with Devin's athletic spin-move finish.

Cameron Catholic (2024) |6-3 F| Excel Basketball 2024

This kid can shoot it from 3-point land and bang inside. Cameron is a versatile player. He stood out early and often as an aggressive rebounder. He is a long-player with an impressive vertical. Catholic was skying for rebounds. Cameron also stood out to me as an unselfish player. When the help D came near him, Cameron found the open man.

Noah Gensler (2024) |6-2 G| Wisconsin Blaze 2024 National Moede

This 3-point sniper knocked down 5 triples in the first half! He is an excellent catch-n-shoot player. Gensler has a clean stroke and good feet. His follow-through is flawless. Gensler is a good athlete with good size and muscle.

Hayden Quimby (2024) |5-11 G| Wisconsin Blaze 2024 National Moede

This guard is a silky smooth shooter. Hayden was drilling 3-balls from the wing and corner. He sets his feet very quickly and his release is smooth. Hayden showed a spectacular crossover. He showed a very nice spin-move as well. Hayden had one of the best mid-range games that I saw today. He would attack, break down the defense, and pull up for a good look.

Jaylene Simmons (2024) |6-3 F| Capital City Team Work 2024

He is a big, wide, and powerful post player. Simmons showed nice footwork around the basket and he is light on his feet. Jaylene is a crafty finisher around the basket. He also looked good scoring on offensive rebound putbacks.

Antonyo Davis (2024) |6-1 F| Capital City Team Work 2024

This kid is an athlete! Davis is explosive and he plays with a ton of energy. I liked his slashing and cutting. Davis is unselfish and he shared the rock with his teammates. Antonyo looked to be an efficient finisher around the cup.

Carlos Day (2024) |5-10 G| Capital City Team Work 2024

This kid is speedy, he looked great when changing speeds and blowing by defenders with a speed burst. Day is a fast-twitch player and an all-around solid PG. His fake crossover was sweet and he is a gifted passer. Carlos can score in transition and he drives to create for others.

Justin Anderson (2024) |5-11 SG| Illinois Storm 2024

He was an active slasher all game. Anderson is a smooth player that moves well. He seems to have a great feel for the game. Justin shined when playing fast and finishing in full-court situations. I liked how hard he ran the floor. Anderson is also a soft-touch finisher.

Marvin Tunstall (2024) |6-2 G| Illinois Storm 2024

He is a nice player with a lot of versatility to his game. Marvin has long arms and his skills are proficient. Tunstall looked good in up-tempo full-court transition situations. Marvin did a bit of everything for his team today. I liked his overall effort.
