The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. Stop 3 is a big one, as the circuit pulls up in Kansas City for the NCAA Certified Prephoops Live Event. The event featured several high flyers. In this article, we take a look at the top R&J athletes from the event.
Anquon Boldin Jr 6’4 SG Ball4lyfe 2023 (#71 PHF 2023) – Boldin was at the rim with bad intentions this weekend. He is a combination power/finesse jumper. He explodes off the floor quickly but also has the agility to glide and rotate his body in the air. He almost caught a nasty body coming down the lane off 1 foot, showing just how quickly he can get from ground to rim.
Trey’Dez Green Trey’Dez Green 6'8" | PF Zachary | 2024 State #54 Nation LA 6’8 PF LA Dragons 2024 (#2 PHL 2024) – Green is one of the top tight ends in America. When I asked what he did on the football field, he explained. “They throw it up and I go get it”. They did the same thing in basketball this weekend. Green seemed to catch a body every time down the floor. Explosive is an understatement, as he propelled off the floor for a bunch of dunks this weekend. His combination of speed in power is downright scary, and the 6’8 forward used both to attack the basket this weekend.
Desean Moreno Desean Moreno 6'4" | PF Spring Valley | 2022 State NV 6’4 PF Chosen Few 2022 (#30 PHN 2022) – Moreno was all over the rim this weekend. He stayed in the dunker’s spot, and then made sure to dunk the ball whenever he had an opportunity. He seems bouncier off one step, vs when he gets a running start, and I think it surprised some people who attempted to jump with the high flyer.
Domante Stacker 6’2 SF KC Spurs 2025 – I’m still mad at Stacker for missing what would have been the dunk of the event. On a three-on-three transition play, his teammate Cooper Oathout decided that now would be the time to showcase Stackers hops. He throws the ball off the backboard, to a trailing Stacker, who wasn’t even part of the original 3-on-3 fast break. Stacker comes from nowhere to hammer the ball against the back of the rim. In that one play, the freshman showed his speed, power, and athleticism.
Cole Peppenhorst 6’4 SF Midwest All-Stars 2023 (#107 PHIL 2023) – I wasn’t even watching Peppenhorst’s game when he started to go off. Every time I turned my head the 6’4 aerodynamic forward was out on the break finishing on the rim. He is a good 1-foot jumper who had a couple 1 foot two hand bang outs in the game I watched
