Team Teague 2025 Continues to Dominate

If there is a better Class of 2025 team on the Prep Hoops Circuit that Team Teague, I haven’t seen them yet this spring. After winning by 20 and 21 points in their two games on Saturday, Team Teague followed it up with another pair of wins on Sunday.

The morning began facing off with another Indiana Class of 2025 team in EG10. The Eric Gordon squad got off to a good start, but the athleticism and quickness of Team Teague soon took over. [player_tooltip player_id="1373105" first="Mark" last="Zackery"] IV (Ben Davis H.S. 2025) was playmaking off of the dribble and dominating the defensive end of the floor, [player_tooltip player_id="1297113" first="Shane" last="Sims"] Jr. (Evansville Harrison H.S. 2025) was scoring it from all three levels, and Cedric Horton (Richmond H.S. 2025) was making his living in transition.

Some hot second half shooting, including an eight-point flurry that included back-to-back three-pointers by [player_tooltip player_id="1402494" first="Caleb" last="Wright"] (Sheridan H.S. 2025), tried to keep EG10 in it down the stretch. However, they could never get over the hump as Team Teague 2025 held on for a 71-60 victory.

Sims Jr. led the way with 23 points while Horton finished with 17, 12 of which game in the second half. [player_tooltip player_id="1373104" first="P.J." last="Douglas"] (Jeffersonville H.S. 2025) rounded out the Team Teague players in double figures with 10 points.

In the loss for EG10 2025, [player_tooltip player_id="1297034" first="Hudson" last="Horvath"] (North Central H.S. 2025) scored a team-high 17 points and Terrell Irons (Avon H.S. 2025) added 11 points.

EG10 2024 Reds Suffers First Loss of Weekend

EG10 2024 Red’s offense sputtered on Sunday morning as they fell 48-43 to Minnesota Heat 2024 Jones to finish the weekend 3-1. This same team put up 80 on Friday night and won a pair of games on Sunday, so you can chalk it up to nothing more than an off game.

6’0” point guard Jalen Bundy (Center Grove H.S. 2024) was solid for EG10 in the defeat. He scored a team-leading 16 points to provide a little bit of an offensive spark. Bundy showed his ability to play with pace, some playmaking ability off of the dribble, and strong finishing ability around the rim.

D1 Indiana 2025 Earns Impressive Victory

It was my first opportunity of the spring to get eyes on D1 Indiana’s Class of 2025 group on the Prep Hoops Circuit. [player_tooltip player_id="1297068" first="Julius" last="Gizzi"] (New Palestine H.S. 2025) led the way getting go midway through the first half with a flurry of buckets and continued his strong play into the second half to secure the win. The 6’2” guard showed his ability to create his own shot, play through contact, and score from just about any spot on the floor.

Alongside Gizzi, a pair of his high school teammates also stood out for D1 Indiana. 6’3” forward Ben Slagley (New Palestine H.S. 2025) was productive around the basket all game long. Out on the perimeter, 5’10” point guard Moses Haynes (New Palestine H.S. 2025) flashed his excellent court vision and passing ability on multiple occasions. Overall, it was a very good team win for D1 Indiana 2025.

Gizzi would also pour in 31 points in an afternoon win over D1 New Mexico to cap off a 3-1 weekend.
