Jimar is listed as a combo guard but spent a lot of time on the low block because of the needs of his team. However, he did have moments where he stepped out and was productive from the perimeter. When looking back over the score sheets, J put up some very impressive numbers throughout the #PHPassionRegionKickOff. His talent and potential were on full display as he was firing on all cylinders the entire weekend. He may have to put in work on the post for NEB, but at the next level, he will have to settle into his role on the perimeter.
He is a versatile player on both ends of the court, making him an eye-catching prospect.
He flashed his athleticism, showed that he is an excellent finisher in the paint and at the rim, and made his presence felt in just about every aspect of the game. He was a walking double-double the entire weekend. He is one player that I will be keeping my eye on throughout the #PHCircuit, and I encourage coaches at the next level to do the same.

Hasani Rivera (6’8/Forward/2023)
Team: Florida Suns

Hasani is a player with good positional size, and he knows how to use his size to gain leverage off the bounce. As I watched Hasani throughout the weekend, I kept asking myself if he was just a little more assertive and aggressive where he would be because he has all the physical tools that are needed to be a sought-after player. His long strides help him to cover ground off the bounce, and before you know it, he is at the cup looking to finish, where he did very good throughout the weekend. When looking at Hasani’s game, there is so much to love about it, and if he can put it together, he will cause those at the next level to love it as well.
You cannot deny his activity on the glass, his willingness to get out and run the floor, and his scoring ability.
He is definitely a player to watch over the next few months and see what kind of jumps his game can make.

Let me go ahead and say it, Jayce can stroke the rock. He gets it done from the perimeter, whether in c&s situations or pull-up jumpers off the bounce. I would love to see him ramp up his aggressiveness and be more consistent game in and game out, as it will increase his stock.
Still, with the perimeter game he is bringing to the floor, he is a prospect to keep an eye on as he was one of the few 2024 kids playing 17u that was making significant impacts.
He has promise and could possibly be one of the hidden gems that were found at #PHPassionRegionKickoff

Dominic Sanders (5’11/CG/2023)
Team: Sunshine Elite

The buzzer went off, and I was walking towards Sunshine’s bench; Coach John and I made eye contact, and before I could get it out, he said #7 right, and we both just laughed. He knew why I was coming, and that was to talk to Dominic as he was coming off his 27pt performance against Peak Performance. D was taking no prisoners in this match-up. He was determined to get to the cup, and it did not matter who they put in front of him; he was going to get to the cup. He was getting to the rim off the bounce in the half-court, and he was putting pressure on the rim in transition.
He was getting whatever he wanted that game, and he left no questions about his ability and potential.
The question going forth is, can he repeat this type of performance in upcoming tourneys. I want to see Ds follow-up performance, and from there, I can talk more about his opportunities at the next level.

Michael was one of the most lethal perimeter players during the weekend. He is a promising 2024 prospect and was getting it done in the 17u division. He scored at all levels and was efficient in doing so. He has extremely good handles and specializes in getting to the rim and finishing. His pull-up J kept defenders guessing, and his quick first step kept defenders off-balance. He showed his ability to produce with the ball in his hands, and he showed that he could step over to the off guard spot and still provide hefty production.
Michael spent a lot of time dicing up defenses.
Even though he takes a beating when attacking the rim and going through contact, he keeps coming, leaving defenders wondering what they must do to stop the onslaught that Michael brings possession after possession.
