Alassane Amadou – 2023 – F – Philly Pride
This kid is a straight up beast. Amadou is a consensus top 100 prospect, but think he shows more than being just an athlete that could allow him to really develop at the next level. A long, athletic, 6-foot-9 combo forward, Amadou is going to rack up those highlight plays, putback dunks, transition finishes, blocks, etc., but there’s more to him. Amadou can step away from the rim and shoot the ball a bit. Showed some really nice ability to flash into the high post, square his shoulders, and score. He was very difficult to keep off the glass all game long and shifted the momentum against the Illinois Wolves a few times. Amadou has lateral quickness on the perimeter as well and has no problems switches onto guards late in the shot clock. Miami (FL), Marquette, Cincinnati, and Maryland are some of the schools giving chase here.
Cam Christie – 2023 – SG -Illinois Wolves
Christie put together a strong all-around effort in a close loss to Philly Pride. The consensus three-star shooting guard had 12 points in what was a low scoring affair. One of the top shot creators and shot makers in his class, Christie’s blend of strength and athleticism allows him to rise and fire against even the best of defenses. Really like his positional size. Christie is listed at 6-foot-5, but long arms make him look closer to 6-foot-7. Think Christie has come into this spring more well-rounded. Last summer, he felt like a shot hunter. Friday night, saw him moving better without the ball, setting good screens for teammates, and finishing better at the rim. Thought the defensive end of the floor was more of a focal point for Christie as well and there was a definite want-to on that end of the floor. Michigan State, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio State, Iowa State, and Purdue are some of the programs giving chase.
Jack Janicki Jack Janicki 6'4" | SG White Bear Lake | 2023 State #277 Nation MN – 2023 – SG – D1 Minnesota
Janicki shot the ball really well at times for D1 Minnesota in their loss to Game Elite. The lefty can burn defenders if they put a hand down and will often hit them with a little jab step to get them to play the drive and then let it fly. The 6-foot-3 junior is pretty wiry too. Liked how he wasn’t afraid to challenge shot blockers and either finish or draw a foul. There’s no hesitation from Janicki when he catches near the rim or in transition, which can be tough to teach, especially at this level when there’s a 6-foot-10 bigs chasing you down. Wake Forest, Loyola (IL), St. Thomas, Colorado State, and Toledo have all offered Janicki thus far.
Conner Kraft – 2023 – SF – Howard Pulley
Think this kid is severely underrated. Kraft had a huge performance against SW Illinois Jets and was virtually unstoppable for large chunks of the game. Hard to believe there aren’t any offers on the table for Kraft, who at 6-foot-8 is a big mismatch problem. Kraft is a deadly shooter from 3-point range, can take guys into the post, and hits the offensive glass to rack up second chance points. Kraft can also defend multiple positions The top ranked player in North Dakota, Kraft is pretty bouncy. He high points and snatches rebounds very well. Think he’s got the makings of a very strong mid-major prospect.
Arhman Lewis Arhman Lewis 5'9" | PG Madiosn Laffollette | 2023 State WI – 2023 – PG – Wisconsin Playground Club
In his first game of the Under Armour circuit, Lewis handled it well. Thought he was very effective at taking advantage of pressure and getting by defenders. A small, but speedy guard with very tight handles, Lewis has some of the best break-you-down ability in the state of Wisconsin. Doesn’t get enough credit for his basketball IQ. Lewis plays very well in traffic and almost always makes the right play when he gets two feet in the paint. Doesn’t always shoot a lot, but Lewis absolutely has takeover ability offensively. The La Follette star has in-the-gym range as a shooter and a killer instinct late in games.
Jordan Pickett – 2023 – G – SW IL Jets
This guard is a killer with no off-switch. Pickett was in attack mode all game long and finished by making the game-winning shot with about 12 seconds left. The 6-foot-2 guard was tenacious in all areas. When he got a mismatch on a big, he pulled them out and went to work. Pickett is very smooth and operative on the ball. He’s got a terrific hesitation blow-by game and can also knock down the mid-range jumper if defenders give him too much space. Could have finished better at the rim, but absolutely lived in the paint throughout the game. Defensively, Pickett applied a lot of pressure without fouling and racked up steals, including some late takeaways that allowed the Jets to make a comeback.
