Hustle SZN Kickoff Recap: Top R&J Athletes

<p>Spring is here and that can only mean one thing. It’s Circuit Season! The Prephoops Circuit is upon us. I will be covering and providing exposure for the Hustle Region Circuit. The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. Stop number one got underway this past weekend in Seal Beach California, with the Hustle Season Kickoff. The event which took place on Saturday, April 2nd through Sunday, April 3rd featured 46 teams ranging from 15U to 17U. The event also featured several high flyers. In this article, we take a look at the top R&amp;J Athletes from the event. </p> <p><strong>Edward Kelley</strong> <em>6’6 SF Team Eleate 2022</em> - Explosive does not begin to describe Kelley. I liked how quickly he was able to go from the floor to the rim and when he got there he punished them. The forward had several thunder dunks in a two-game stretch. The fast-twitch lefty spent a good deal of time above the rim last weekend. </p> <p><strong>Elijah Edwards</strong> <em>6’6 SF Team Eleate 2022</em> - Edwards has a powerful frame, and when he got it moving watch out. He had a bunch of transition dunks as he showed when he gets his 1, 2 down he has the ability to rise. His athleticism wasn’t just limited to jumping as he also displayed a quick first step allowing him to burst by defenders on his way to the basket. </p> <p><strong>Isaiah Fields</strong> <em>6’6 SF Team Eleate 2022</em> - Make it a trio for coach Lea’s squad. Fields is a freak athlete, that was doing some in between the legs type dunks in warmups. He showed that he can perform in-game as well, getting out and throwing down several big-time dunks throughout the weekend. </p> <p><strong>Idalius Coleman</strong> <em>6’3 SF EP Starz 2023</em> -They make them bouncy in El Chapin, and Coleman proved that. He’s a sneaky good athlete that tried to dunk on a couple of people. He played with a swooping style, where he would glide in and attack the basket. Coleman had long arms which allowed him to complete some of those drives with dunks. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="827032" first="Tyreek" last="Dean"] <em>6’2 SG TMP 2022</em> <em>(featured image)</em> - Got to see quite a bit of Dean during the Pec6 League this season. He’s a good athlete, but this weekend he looked even bouncier. The guard was able to get out on the break and finish with some nice dunks. He’s a guy that prefers the 1 hand, 1 leg method, but because of his hangtime ability, it almost looks as if he’s floating in air.
