The Circuit kicked things off in Seal Beach, CA last weekend for the Hustle Region Kick Off. I mainly focused on the 16U division.

I did get around and see some 15U standouts and here are the players who shined:

[player_tooltip player_id="1323290" first="Mason" last="Magee"] 2026 (California Select Gold 2025) (Pictured)

One of the top guards in the 15U division was Magee. He is a ball hawk defender with elite lateral quickness and speed. He has unusual long arms for his size and is a quick-twitch athlete. The ball is on a string for him to get downhill and finishes with an impressive layup package and loves using floaters. He throws precise passes to his teammates and comes with a big motor.

Jayden Gray CG 5’9 2026 (California Select Gold 2025)

A natural scorer plays with a good motor. He gets to his spot on the court with his strong frame and tighter handle and the son of a coach knows how to play. He will make plays for others and defend multiple positions.

Taj Jackson PG 5’8 2025 Temecula Valley/CA (Gamepoint IE 2025)

A lead guard who does a little bit of everything. He can set the table for his team and score it. He can post up opposing guards, burst into the lane, he can hit the pull-up off the dribble and make the catch three.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253138" first="Roderick" last="Johnson"] 5’8 CG 2025 Somerset Losee/NV (Nevada H2G 2025)

‘Quick’ as they call him has a burst to get into the lane with his speed. He is a heady scoring lead guard who sees the court well. He can make flashy passes and will thread the needle and find cutters. He has deep range.

Michael Brown PF 6’0 2026 San Marcos/CA (Coastal Elite 2025)

A thicker framed forward has a strong inside and out game. He uses his girth, big hands and strength to rebound and score on put backs. He can also step out and shoot the the three with some range. Look for him to continue to grow and improve.

Jeremiah ‘JJ’ Profit SF 6’4 2027 (Gamepoint IE 2025)

An impressive 7th grader with amazing size for a wing. He shoots it easily to the three point line and plays the passing lanes about as well as you can with his long arms and size. He will rebound the ball and scores it in the paint.

Elyas Elgado SG 6’0 2025 La Jolla Country Day/CA (IE FIre Elite 2025)

One of the better guards on 15U is a three level scorer. He shoots it easy with range and was awarded the top game changing sniper by Bruce Williams. He can also get a step on his defender and get to the basket. His ability to create separation makes him a tough cover.

Quincy Johnson PG 5’8 2025 Vista Murrieta/CA (IE Fire Elite 2025)

A quick on quick guard gets downhill with a burst and will finish off insanely difficult shots in heavy traffic. He had one eye-popping finish that had everyone in shock how tough it was and literally on the next play he almost matched it again. He is also a sneaky good passer and brings a fire to the game.
