Widely considered one of the marquee Mid-Atlantic events of the spring grassroots season, the Spring Jam Fest boasts an extremely competitive field that includes powerhouse regional and national teams.
Below is a glance at the SEPA grassroots squads participating in this event as well their opening round opponent.
17U (2023):
Philly Pride Select: This will be an entertaining team to watch. The question is, can your eyes keep up with the pace of the action? Adam “Budd” Clark is the fastest end to end point guard in the region. Justin Poles Justin Poles 6'1" | CG Lower Merion | 2023 State PA is a lightening quick combo guard and shooting guard Nadir Myers Nadir Myers 6'2" | PG Upper Darby | 2023 State PA owns one of the quickest triggers in SEPA. That backcourt group will lead the charge on Friday night vs. the NJ Bulldogs.
PSB Philly: Strath Haven’s Jaden Jauregui Jaden Jauregui 6'2" | SG Strath Haven | 2023 State PA and Haverford’s Alex Seidman Alex Seidman 6'3" | SG Haverford | 2023 State PA are a backcourt that can torch the nets from deep. Slasher wing prospect Collin Bowman Collin Bowman 6'2" | SF Friends Central School | 2022 State PA is another scoring threat opposing teams will have to guard tightly. PSB Philly gets their 2022 spring season rolling on Saturday vs. NJ Pirates.
BW Elite: Multi-skilled wing prospect Marcus Branker, Jr. is an extremely unique prospect who scores at all three levels. Lefty guard Malcolm Muhammad will rain triples all day. Those are just two of the names on this roster who will play at the next level. BW Elite 17U begins their spring season on Friday night against Panthers Select.
York Ballers HGSL: College coaches need to witness the talent on this team immediately. Combo guard Karron Mallory is a high-level talent we have previously featured on Prep Hoops. Mallory’s running mates include Central York standout guard Ethan Dodson and 6”4” wing shooter Nolan Gilbert Nolan Gilbert 6'4" | PF Cumberland Valley | 2023 State PA from Cumberland Valley. York Ballers 17U open play on Friday night against Diallo HGSL.
Prim3Tim3 HGSL: After tremendous performances at the Donofrio Classic Tournament (PA), this squad is now on everyone’s radar. With prospects like Swiss army knife Lucas Orchard Lucas Orchard 6'4" | SF Devon Prep | 2023 State PA , shooting guard Jackson Hicke Jackson Hicke 6'5" | SF Radnor | 2023 State PA and versatile wing Jacen Holloway Jacen Holloway 6'4" | SF Devon Prep | 2023 State PA spearheading things, they should continue to post a big spring on the grassroots circuit. This group hits the court Friday night vs. Crown.
16U (2024):
BW Elite: Brad Wannamaker’s (BW) 16U roster is stacked with players who brought home state tournament hardware last month. High energy, fleet footed backcourt prospect Khaafiq Myers Khaafiq Myers 5'10" | PG Neumann-Goretti | 2024 State PA posted 9.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4 assists per contest for 4A state champion Neumann-Goretti. Myers is a major college prospect. On Friday night this BW Elite squad will take on Team Richmond HGSL.
Philly Pride Select: This team is going to surprise folks this spring. The roster possesses an abundance of backcourt talent, and they will look to push the tempo. Keep an eye on combo guard Ron Brown III Ron Brown III 5'11" | CG SCH Academy | 2024 State PA , shooting guard Brendan Styer and slashing wing Amari Dow Amari Dow 6'2" | SG Cristo Rey Philadelphia | 2024 State PA . Philly Pride Select begins the weekend with a Friday night matchup with NJ Panthers HGSL.
Philly Revolution: This roster had a very successful 2021 grassroots season and a trio of budding Philly Catholic League stars — LaQuan Byrd, Josh Reed and Jaden Murray Jaden Murray 6'7" | PF Archbishop Ryan | 2024 State PA — will look to keep that momentum rolling. Those three will have significant help from Episcopal Academy standout Kevin McCarthy Kevin McCarthy 6'4" | SG Episcopal Academy | 2024 State PA . The Revolution open play on Friday night against NY Lightening HGSL.
Team Final EYBL: The No. 2 team in our final July 2021, SEPA 15U rankings tips off their spring 2022 season in Manheim, PA. For openers, Thomas Sorber Thomas Sorber 6'9" | C Archbishop Ryan | 2024 State #58 Nation PA , Robert Wright III Robert Wright III 6'0" | PG Montverde Academy (FL) | 2024 State #35 Nation FL , Amir Williams Amir Williams 6'6" | SF Neuman-Goretti | 2024 State PA , Moses Hipps Moses Hipps 6'4" | SG AZ Compass Prep | 2024 State AZ and Ma’kye Taylor will take on Rising Stars (NY) on Friday night. We expect this group to make a deep run this weekend and post an extremely successful spring circuit.
Team Final Red HGSL: TFR finished the July 2021 grassroots season at No. 5 in our weekly 15U rankings and most of that squad is back here in 2022. Standout interior presence David Fridia David Fridia 6'6" | PF Allentown Central Catholic | 2024 State PA will lead this TFR group in their Friday night opener vs. Mason Elite.
York Ballers HGSL: Artie Poindexter, a point guard with elusive dribbles, and combo guard Carter Horst are two Pennsylvania prospects flying under the radar. Both players helped lead their high school teams to the 2022 PIAA state tournament. This York Ballers squad opens play on Friday night against NJ Shoreshots – Iasparro.
15U (2025):
Philly Pride National UAA: This extremely talented squad will be “playing up” this weekend in the 16U division. That should not pose a problem for talented 2025 prospects like shooting guard Jacob Nguyen and floor general Jordan Ellerbee. In the first round this group faces a Gibbs Elite squad that will present a solid challenge.
Philly Revolution: The Philadelphia Catholic League’s outstanding Class of 2025 is well represented on this Revolution roster. Highlighting that list is Father Judge’s trio of small forward Kiev Rucker Kiev Rucker 6'2" | SF Father Judge | 2025 State PA , floor general Kevair Kennedy Kevair Kennedy 6'1" | PG Father Judge | 2025 State PA and 6’4” wing Kevin Beck Kevin Beck 6'2" | CG Father Judge | 2025 State PA . Also watch for Lower Merion point guard Lamont Grier. He is a super quick prospect with filthy handles. The Revolution will battle Gibbs Elite (PA) on Saturday morning.

Last month West helped Archbishop Carroll make a run to the 4A state tournament semifinals.
York Ballers HGSL: When this York ballers squad hits the floor be sure to keep an eye on interior force Carter Wamsley Carter Wamsley 6'7" | PF Eastern York | 2025 State PA and crafty guard Ben Natal Ben Natal 6'2" | PG Central York | 2025 State PA . During their freshman seasons both prospects caught the attention of college coaches. This group opens play on Friday night with a highly anticipated contest against NY Rens United HGSL.
