Jason Jakstys Jason Jakstys 6'10" | C Yorkville | 2024 State #141 Nation IL 6-9 Yorkville One of the first prospects I watched on Friday evening. No one really surpassed his immense potential the duration of the tourney. Extreme length allows for near elite rim protection. But honestly that has been there since I saw him last summer. What stood out this weekend was his offensive development. The offense ran through him in both the high low post areas. Even in clutch situations. Made good decisions with the ball and was an excellent kick out passer.
Jayden Razor 6-2 Franklin Community (IN) Lead guard with a very quick first step. This allowed to get to rim with ease all weekend. Long lanky frames makes him appear to play bigger than his listed height. Wasn’t playing on the tallest team this weekend. Accordingly showed the ability to bang down low. Fearless penetrator with a tight handle. Also a willing passer who was able to find teammates when defenders closed on him.
Braylon Isom Braylon Isom 6'1" | SG Saginaw Heritage | 2024 State MI 6-2 Saginaw Heritage Big time athlete who basically played point forward for a DV45 squad that only lost one game on the weekend. Played last year of the Prep Hoops Circuit with LaMelo Ball’s Puma Elite 1 of 1 squad. With that group he was basically an athletic rim running center. What a difference a year makes. The rim running is still there. Had multiple impressive dunks and finishes well above the rim. But also showed a lot of nuance in his mid range game. Didn’t just try and run over defenders. Was able to hang in the air and cleverly avoid contact. Active defensively as many of dunks came off of steals. Improved ball handling allowed him to be a de facto point guard. Much improved prospect from last summer.
Grantas Sakenis 6-8 Andrew (IL) Huge post presence for Full Package all weekend. Notched an impressive 26 game in a victory on Saturday afternoon. Still has a ways to go to become a finished prospect. But the production was there this weekend. A lot of potential to work due to advanced size and ball skills.
Tim Williams 6-1 North Central (IN) Similar to Razor (see above). This long lead guard plays bigger than 6-1. Used athleticism to rise up well in the mid range. Also has a good enough handle to play the point when needed. I watched an impressive 18 output in a victory over SSA Elite (KS). Posted similar games throughout the weekend. Should form a solid future backcourt with Mason Lewis Mason Lewis 5'9" | PG Crispus Attucks | 2024 State IN . Who also played this week with EG10.
Second Team
James Rose 6-3 Madison Southern (KY) Physical two guard who played up an age division with Griffin Elite.
Alex Keizer 6-4 Timothy Christian (IL) Has good size and shot the ball well all weekend.
Bryce Smith 6-5 Carmel Catholic (IL) Swing forward with excellent size for the position already. Wanted the ball late in his teams clutch victory to close out the tournament. Scored 22 points in that contest.
Jalen Bundy 6-0 Center Grove (IN) Pass first guard who plays with his head up. Fierce competitor who didn’t back down from anyone.
Jake Stephens 6-3 Chelsea (MI) Do-it-all type forward for DV45. Played well with Isom (see above). Next level passer despite not being a true point guard. A top 40 player in the state of Michigan.
