#7 Troy McKoy Troy McKoy 6'4" | SG Cushing Academy (MA) | 2024 #200 Nation NLG | 6’4” SG | Massanutten
McKoy transferred to Massanutten from Windsor, CT, and the 6’4” wing has been one of the best players for a Massanutten post grad team that qualified for the National Tournament and has been nationally ranked all year, all while being the youngest player on the team too. He’s a strong wing who can knock down shots from deep, get in the lane and finish through contact, he can defend and rebound and if he chooses to he can still reclassify to the 2024 class.
#10 Callum Crossman Callum Crossman 6'8" | C Virginia Academy | 2023 State VA | 6’8” PF | Virginia Academy
The UK native came to VAA this season and it didn’t take long for people to realize that not only does he have good size and move well for a player his size, he’s an absolutely ridiculous athlete who can play way above the rim and simply make plays other people can’t. He routinely goes to another level when he meets guys at the rim, he can run the floor with the guards and he shows good toughness as a rebounder and a defender. He’s still a little bit raw but he has so much upside that is impossible to ignore.
#11 Davin Crosby | 6’4” SG | Benedictine
Cosby was in the rankings before, but he had moved to the 2022 class when he transferred up and reclassified to the 2022 class, but he transferred back to Benedictine and back to the 2023 class and had a big junior season and is seeing his recruitment continue to grow. He’s one of the top shooter sin the state and is excellent in getting open off of screens and getting set on the move with a quick release and deep range, he shoots it at a very good percentage from deep and he’s become more athletic and worked hard on rounding out his game as well.
#14 Tyler Mason Tyler Mason 6'10" | PF Minnesota Prep | 2023 MD | 6’8” PF | John Marshall
Mason was in the rankings for a bit when he was younger at Bishop O’Connell, then he moved to Maryland and now he’s back in VA at John Marshall where he’s shown he’s one of the top young big men prospects in the state. At 6’8” he has a very versatile inside-out game as he can post up and score it in the paint and is a good rebounder as well, he has good mobility to run the floor and has become more athletic as a finisher and he can step out where he can knock down shots, pass it and put it on the deck in a few dribbles to get to spots.
#24 Buom Jock Buom Jock 6'5" | SF Episcopal | 2023 VA | 6’5” SF | Episcopal
Jock came to Episcopal from Minnesota where he was a two sport star as a football player as well, and I can see why as he’s an excellent athlete who runs like a deer and is very explosive both off the bounce and around the rim. He plays with a great motor on both ends of the floor and has good length allowing him to rebound and get deflections, he can knock down shots well from deep and in the midrange as well and has improved a lot from what people have told me in that regard and he makes energy plays on both ends of the floor.
#37 Jordan Horne Jordan Horne 6'1" | PG Miller School | 2023 VA | 6’1” PG | Miller School
Horne was someone I had seen over the summer with Team Richmond and was intrigued, but it wasn’t until I saw him on a Miller School team that had some of the best talent in the state when I realized he’s an actual point guard that can impact the game in a number of different ways. At 6’1” he has good size and is very strong on the ball, he can get in the lane at will where he is a good finisher in traffic and has improved a lot as a playmaker and he can knock down shots when open off the bounce and off the catch. He’ll be a guy for coaches to check out this summer during AAU.
