We recently updated our class of 2029 rankings in the state of Virginia, going to 100 prospects from across the state we believe will be players to keep an eye on moving forward. Obviously the list is very new and will change plenty over the next three seasons, but for now here's a look at part two of some of the top young prospects in the Northern VA area.

#15) Travis Clegg | 6'3” SG | Paul VI

Clegg is one of a number of talented young guards for a PVI team that was once again the top team in the DMV last year, and while he was behind some very talented upperclassmen last year he showed this summer he's not just on the team to take up a seat, he's going to be a big time player himself. At 6'3” he has great size and a strong frame already and is likely still growing, he is a strong downhill slasher who finishes well through contact, he can knock down shots from deep at a good clip, and he is a good defender with a good motor as well.

#18) Jalen Ferrell | 6'2” CG | Osbourn Park

Ferrell had a fantastic freshman season at Osbourn Park, followed it up with a big summer with DC Assault, and is ready to be one of the best players in PWC this season as their go-to guy this year. The 6'2” combo is a super talented guard who is shifty off the bounce with the ability to change pace and directions to get by defenders, he can create separation and knock down shots off the bounce from all three levels, he has good range off the catch, and he is still growing into his body and will get more explosive which is a scary thought.

#21) Christian Towe | 6'1” PG | Hayfield

Towe was one of the best freshmen in the NOVA area last year for Hayfield, and coming into his sophomore year he is set to be their go-to guy and looking to lead the Hawks to a deep playoff run this season. The 6'1” guard is one of the more skilled guards in the class as he is a knock down shooter from deep with great range and a quick release, he can work off the bounce and is very good in ball screens, he has good feel and makes good reads when the defense focuses on him, and he has a high IQ and great instincts on both ends too.

#26) Jaydon Harris | 6'3” CG | Flint Hill

Harris is the younger brother of Indiana's Darren Harris, and he's already off to a hot start in his career as he helped Westfield to a state championship last year before following his Dad and coach to Flint Hill to this summer. The 6'3” combo has a great frame with long arms and is obviously still growing, he is a good athlete who gets out in transition and is a good finisher through contact, he can knock it down at a high clip from deep, and it's no surprise that he has a high IQ and is an extension of the coach on the floor.

#37) Kenny W. Robinson III | 6'5” SG | SSSAS

Robinson is one of the more intriguing long term prospects in this young class, as he has a ton of tools that will translate to the next level as he already looks like a division one prospect with his positional size and frame. At 6'5” with long arms he's a good athlete who thrives in transition with his length and finishing ability, he has good ball skills with the ability to put it on the deck and get downhill, he can knock down open shots from deep, and he has huge upside as a lock down defender who can guard multiple positions.

#39) Dominic Laws | 6'1” CG | Langley

Laws had a great freshman season for Langley as he worked his way into the starting lineup and became one of their better players by the end of the year, and after a big summer with Virginia Elite he's a guy who could have a breakout sophomore season. The 6'1” combo is highly skilled with the ability to work on or off the ball to get open, he scores it from all three levels and has deep range off the catch, he is a crafty finisher around the rim, and he brings a good motor on both ends of the floor.

#40) Corey Brandon | 6'0” PG | Potomac School

Brandon transferred to Potomac School from Bishop O'Connell and reclassified to the 2029 class, and this summer it looked like a great decision as he had a growth spurt and looks like he's in the perfect spot with this group. The 6'0” lefty is super shifty with a tight handle and the ability to change speeds and directions, he's strong with the ball as he can get downhill and play through contact, he can score it from multiple levels and makes good reads with the ball, and he's an absolute dog on the defensive end as well.
