Syris Williams Syris Williams 6'0" | CG Pueblo Central | 2022 State CO caught fire in the close win against Montrose. From three-point range, Syris was able to find his rhythm stepping in with confidence on his 3 threes. He used his physicality to move opposing players around and make his way to the basket. While being physical he also has some shifty handles that got defenders out of position. Syris did a good job of controlling the pace of the game for his team and was able to assist teammates on five possessions. Syris was dominant in this game scoring 29 points.
Maurice Austin Maurice Austin 5'10" | PG Pueblo South | 2024 State CO – Pueblo South
Maurice Austin Maurice Austin 5'10" | PG Pueblo South | 2024 State CO continues to impress in his sophomore season with a huge performance in the win against Centaurus. Maurice reined in 29 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 10 steals. He set the pace for his team on both ends of the floor jumping passing lanes on defense and quickly advancing the ball on fastbreaks. Offensively no one could stay in front of the shifty guard, he was able to pass players for drives to the basket and stop on a dime for mid-range pull-ups. Maurice as a sophomore has been one of the most impressive players in 4A.
Luke Justice- Frederick
Luke Justice was the spark off the bench that Frederick needed to upset their neighborhood rivals, Mead. On the defensive end, Luke brought great energy as he was always active when on the ball and even was able to jump passing lanes to create offense for himself and his teammates. On the offensive end, he was able to keep players on his hip by staying low to the ground and making quick cuts and crossovers to get to the basket.
Eli Robinson Eli Robinson 6'6" | PF Lewis-Palmer | 2023 State CO – Lewis-Palmer
Eli Robinson Eli Robinson 6'6" | PF Lewis-Palmer | 2023 State CO was able to do a bit of everything for his team to help them advance to the final 4. Near the rim is where Eli had most of his buckets and he even threw down a big tomahawk jam through traffic. Eli attracted the eyes of the defense and used that to his advantage dumping off passes to teammates for lay-ins. When near the basket Eli was patient with the ball in his hands using good footwork to create space. The 6’6 product showed off his versatility in the win against Longmont.
